Souls are assigned an agenda of purposeful worth
People meander meaning as a purpose of birth
Souls are here to experience emotional exchange
Our confluence with drama deceives us estrange
Souls are magically magnetized by a soul mate
We are nostalgically normalized by a sense of fate
Souls originate the love of unconditional designs
We preference the path of traditional blood lines
Souls are altruistically giving without reciprocity
We are unforgivingly taking without virtuosity
Souls live eternally in crossroads of evolving time
People live once in the genes of diminishing prime

In troubling times such as these,
Never fear; simply put your faith in the Lord.
Alabaster clouds of hope still floats and...
Zooms across each morn's azure sky
Ultraviolet rays of the midday sun still
Radiates through these pitch-black days; a sign
Everything will be alright with our world again
Some days, life is unforgivingly harsh;
Kicks us when we're face-down on the ground,
Yet we rise, and we persevere.

A child's favorite balloon
taken rudely by the wind,
up and far over the hills,
never to be seen again.
Or brightly colored kites,
tethered to our tiny hands,
strings torn unforgivingly,
soar then to forgotten lands.
Nature's lessons, hard and cruel,
chasten children in its school,
teach their grasp on happiness
is fleeting. Such is Life's long rule.

stuck in the eye of the hurricane
in eerie slow motion
while at helter skelter speed
unforgivingly relentless
deliberate its devastation
overnight
the shock sinks in
a silence shuddering
seeping to every depths
of days numbered
uttering its new reality
left shaken to its very core
the aftermath inconceivable
global extermination averted
or likely just delayed

I need a vacation
from vacation unbreaks.
Bad Friday
falls seven days after spring break begins,
Which is a break for some kids
and teachers without kids,
but not for grandpa parent me,
and my sociopathic daughter,
who needs the structure of small
specialized classrooms
to get through her most resilient day.
It feels healing to step outside
into softer breezy voices
green with overly optimistic promise
that Everythin gonna be aright.
Rain threatens
yet wide patches of sky blue
promise western horizon hope,
for now
Faith that tomorrow,
which feels unforgivingly far from Now,
yet stuck in Here,
I will wake to compassionate forgetfulness,
lack of memory
of nearly all black bleak Fridays
transpired,
de-valued by my owned
and negligently managed
lack of parental investment
in larger self/other care;
that old ego/eco-balancing
narrow-way game.
Tomorrow,
just another Saturday/Sunday weekend,
between BadFriday wounds
and rainy Monday
school day blues
and jazz dance in the garden
with a Great Turning shovel.

It was if no one cared, no one except for a single child who longed to find her only relation.
The world was unforgivingly cold and frost bitten, just as was the form that lay in that lonely patch.
Slender slabs of ice spread in an almost unnatural manner, seeming to hold on an object that was long since removed.
A solemn face stood still upon the decrepit skull that was once a man.
A small bed of soil littered with the needles of pines was home to the one once labeled as missing.
The footsteps of another so evil no life dared to cover left a single trail of hope to bring justice to this forgotten corpse.
It was as if not one living being had truly tried to solve the mystery of the missing man of December 23rd.

I made a promise once
If you can win a promise
I won
This promise broke my heart
Shattered it
It's in my body in shards
Floating around
I move slightly
It pierces my organs
Unforgivingly
This promise will be the death of me
And I can't wait
I'm looking forward to it
This promise was our love breaking
My knowing
We wouldn't make it
I won this promise
And I'm loving the pain of it.
