There's something about snow,
can't quite put my finger on it's show
where nature protects the buck and doe
in safe retreat from the cold that flows.
Creatures scurry as trees begin to shake
heavy laden on each naked branch to break;
greetings of ice mixed snow and chilly flakes
whisper beauty of winter's dance upon the lake.
The birds flit left and right in rush
to sleep and hide in the covered brush,
and in their resting flight unflushed
the wood takes on an eerie silenced hush.
Not a sound, no foot steps, no tweet or trill
falls the squall of heavy flurries stilled,
unfolding on the distant covered hills
where once seen deer jump and leap with skill.
The cold, the silent fall of evening light
bares a chilled and frosted night
as the earth takes on its pall of white
embracing the wood with winter's bite.

A party of toffs all so snotty
was crashed by a yokel so naughty.
After passing much gas,
this guy with no class
took a dump left unflushed in the potty.
(for those who may not know: Toff is a person of high-class society
a Yokel is an uneducated, unsophisticated person from the countryside.)
