There was a time
When thunder was my shelter
Lightening and rain
I adored them
Because this was where i could sob
And noone would know
Id scream
And it could be disguised like smile
It was like hard tide hitting hard
Every time
Just when i thought i was gone
I was washed ashore undrowned
That day went
Like all days do
But still that terrible ten
Always hit like
A ship breaking in to two
The tears dried
I promised my self
To never be again teary eyed
I learned something from that cry
The heart mended
I vowed it would never be again broken
That throb is still there
But never will i feel or cry
Or damn even sigh
The waves of time will wash over
the concealer now a blessing
And rain a curse

I. Gills
The tide of hatred never ebbs;
The isle surrounded sinks and drowns;
While we, the natives, scale the trees
As Gills emerge upon our faces,
Gaping—like fresh, opened wounds.
II. Palms
The floor of faith shall never shift;
The sea above shall soon be calmed;
From islands covered, yet undrowned,
Long trees vault upward to the surface,
Cradling us on outstretched Palms.

let there be peace in our homes
and peaceful images that feed
desire to hope
let there be assurance in our tones
illuminated by a knowledge of religious diversion
let there be an overgrow of enthusiastic
love in gladness for one another
let there be tolerance that seems elastic
and brotherhood that extends from one to another
let there be an echo undrowned by new voices
an initiation into the love of public opion
let there be removed from us lack lustre
and impacted into us a new poise
the summits of social life in unity
and a march of supriority unto redemption

A sea of seething, frothing sky
Condensed, concluded by the night
No point of reference, and no self
Can lie undrowned in these soul-wells
A faded light
Yet fades from sight
Is lost within the self-same rain of sky
The misty veil that shrouds all earth tonight
The sea of tufted, densed elixir
Floats beneath me as I see
The earth now fade forever from my sight
As I rise, and rise both from and into night
