The wise man lives with a conscious realization
that God sees knows and observes everything
for He alone is the maker of all history
nobody can change this fact whatever they bring
The foolish man is pleased to close himself
to the truth of God's knowledge about him
thinks only that he knows always best
such is the wisdom of man but so dim
The unconverted man has a conscience
for he knows there is indeed a God
but suppresses every thought of evidence
convincing himself eternity is flawed
But God brings divine reprobation
which is where God allows man a free reign
in their sinfulness rush into displeasing God
committing sins pleasurable full of stain
There's a cure for society to find redemption
that's getting hold of God's true view
as the forefathers had in the reformation
God's merciful forgiveness can make one all new
O blessed omniscient sovereign God
how we all should love and obey
you in this life for your own glory
then enjoy your infinite love for eternity

How do you start to describe God's love?
a love that no human can ever produce
it has to be experienced to be known
no amount of good works will be of use
This love shows God as a heavenly father
who always does well for His own
their best interests are His prerogative
blessing upon blessing come from God alone
God has proved faithful and true
sticking close to me all life through
no matter falling so often in sin
He picks me up afresh forever anew
Being widowed in mid20s unconverted
that night of loss Christ came alongside
drew me to Himself full of Jesus
gifted with His righteousness forever to abide
God the great matchmaker truly at work
nearly nine years later met my new wife
Christine came my new love in God's providence
my chickenpox drew us as one for a new life
The Lord gave me a love for Him
desiring more of His word to constantly feed
helping me to learn and read pure rhyme
through God's spirit spreading His seed
The Lord every day leads me in His word
giving contentment, hope, strength and grace
such is the love of God truly divine
looking to the day I see His face

Parrot the Catechist
preaches to the unconverted
talks in Latin to impress the ignorant
patiently listening to innocent souls
tells stories never has been heard
in tree-cathedral, wears spectacles
to look highly learned and respected
when priest comes in cassock
flies into hiding to save face

The church today seems so weak
as the bible isn't giving it's authorative place
so many watering down it's voice
making the gospel's message cheap grace
Maybe so many conversions aren't that
they've confessed Christ but not lived as Christ
the church have accepted their profession
but the consequences are heavily priced
These false professions of faith
have entered in become a member
risen even to high leadership
think of Judas himself need we remember
How can the unconverted live as Christ?
Jesus said you'll know them by their fruit
so we need to closely check each believer
to see what bud is at their root
Do they truly love Christ?
are they fervent in prayer and holiness
studying the word for God's approval
displaying the Holy Spirit's fruitfulness?
As the unconverted are treated
like a converted believer
so the church acts like the world
unable to stop this infected fever
The remedy is to fall under God's
authorative inerrant infallible biblical canon
never be ashamed of this body of divinity
for it will remain after the world is gone

Yielded and Still [Prayer]
May I remain surrendered
Yielded and still
My heart aches for love
That seems not to be your will
For anything that will lead me
Away from your master plan
Means that I deny you
Refuse to take your hand.
I believe you have your reasons
For saying, “be yielded and still”
So I’m complying with your words
Even though it’s not my will.
Without a true conversion
The other heart does not understand
I can only shed tears of loss
And trust my future in your hands.
To remain surrendered to you
Takes love that does confound
Not an unconverted heart
With desires otherwise bound
Help me to remain surrendered
For it is a daily thing
Take away my desires
My selfish will to sing.
I need your help to yield
And remain still in your sway
My heart says, “Go back to your love
For that’s the only way”
This struggle I surrender to you
For I know I have no power
But to lean on you, Lord
Yielded and still every minute of each hour.
