The tongue, the tooth or today,
Or then, the gaze with memories and sweat,
Left of the misery, the haze, or the blurred set,
The thoughts tied to the codes for the day,
The tongue, the tooth or the say today.
The better character to talk of for casuals,
Worth the keep, the dialogues and perusals,
Mirrored in own self, the beauty and remarks,
The hidden in phrases and in own consciousness,
The tongue, the tooth or the say today.
Or then the two extremities in own terms:
The miserable with pain and scolded for no ideas,
Devoid of the grudges, the determinate of times today,
The definitely egoed and tongued for them disappointments,
Or then, the strange attachment with catchment on all ends,
The tough tongued, the tooth or the acting today.
The back to back travels in stitches and toughness,
The foul tongued and today's writing in the wilderness.

She has sat too long in the wind.
It stretched every plane of her face into smiles
Except for the sad mouth.
She carries her happy, laughing, children
Every one, on her shoulders,
Where their dead father would have.
She coughs, and sighs, and curses, and grits,
Until all that is left
Is the halves of dreams.

Mental Toughness
Written: by Tom Wright
6/16/2018
Mental toughness drives tough old birds,
It sums up our lives with just two words.
An optimistic attitude is what we bring,
And motivates us beyond issues that ding;
Our glass is half full each minute of time,
We march lockstep to our own paradigm.
This defines who we are and who you see,
I happily say, tough old birds, includes me.
We never surrender but will fight to the end,
No matter what warning realities might send.
Believers view give up as being unusable words,
And no shows in vocabularies of Tough Old Birds;

My mental toughness wasn't anywhere to be found when you started bullying me.
I didn't think much of myself; your bullying made me feel small and weak.
I spent a lot of time being angry and crying. I didn't laugh like before, not very much
joy in my life at all.
You were winning, and what little pride I had left was sinking fast. I felt like repeatedly
banging my head against the wall.
Then my parents told me that bullies might sometimes be physically strong, but mentally
they are very weak.
They told me to develop my mental toughness, by doing so, the bully I could easily defeat.
So, I started thinking I was strong, in body and mind.
And you know what? The more I thought about being mentally tough, the more
confidence I seemed to find.
Mental toughness is a powerful tool that all kids should develop, have, and put to use.
If a bully happens to come into your space, the bully will sense your mental toughness.
He will know if he tries to bully you, he can't win, no way, he's destined to lose.
