A Sea Of Eyes
There came /was a rumbling
thundering and tumbling
culminating in a fated crumble
see fate at its' present rancor
hmm, it was Lorina
who did a slight wander
paving way for Morgan to plunder
with tears plunging down each side
flooding many to stay awake
hmm, dread now skips on merry lane
wearing a rancid smile
sharing bits of bile for every bite
tipping Joy over the edge
into a seamless fall
into a steamy pool
sitting and pondering
edged on both sides
by strife and pain
trying to heal her
with a torchy tale

When the moon wakes up and smiles
Crickets begin to chirp from their balconies
Bats wake up and go to hunt their prey
But trees are silent, only waving to the world
Mice crawl to fill their bellies with stolen food
Clouds spread their arms to cover moon’s face
For dancers without music to roam the villages
In the silence of doves that love to coo, whisper
When the moon smiles unsparingly with creatures
Oceans catch cold and blow wet dust in faces
As hyenas laugh with the fisherman’s goats
With king of cats flashing eager torchy eyes
When the moon smiles in the countryside
Some creatures enter their shells of isolation
Hunters enjoy, cowards regret and the sleeping lie
For they know the smiles never turn into laughter
