Gather around, children, I've a story for you
about the jolly fisherman called Happy Jack
and the boat he built to sail the ocean blue
with his little pet duck whose name was Quack.
Jolly Jack fished all day long,
and on his hook, a worm was wiggling.
He hummed an old sailor's song.
Yes, that's funny, I hear you giggling.
Jack hoped he'd catch a giant fish,
one as big as a whale!
That was the jolly fisherman's wish,
so, every day he hoisted his sail.
One day the clouds turned black.
Thunder roared and lightning flashed.
"We'd better get home," he told Quack.
Against his boat, big waves crashed.
Quack folded his wings, trying to hide.
"We'll be alright," Jack told his pet.
The duck closed his eyes and cried,
but Jack said, "There's no need to fret."
Jack saw dolphins guiding him home
They were friends. Each one had a name.
"Thank you, Tilda, Eddie and Jerome."
Dolphins that only Jack could tame.
It's easy to see why Jack was so jolly.
This fisherman had no fear of the sea.
He didn't catch fish that day, but by golly,
tomorrow we know where Jolly Jack will be.

Kicked out of a theater for the twenty-sixth time,
the owner suggested to the highest building in town they should climb.
From there, throw yourselves down to the street.
Their act was considered both putrid and effete.
It was discovered three beautiful women also came.
Hilda, Wilda, and Tilda they were called by name.
These girls didn’t seem to have anything to hide.
In a similar situation, they contemplated suicide.
As all six of them were ready to go,
there was somebody mysteriously playing a piano.
The man playing the instrument was a millionaire.
He often played in isolation in the open rooftop air.
The man thought this sextet had talent that was not bad.
He hired all of them to star in a musical that he had.
However, the stooges and female company once again tasted defeat.
The man was insane and bound for Dr. Dippy’s Retreat.
Based on the Columbia Pictures short subject “Rhythm and Weep” starring the Three Stooges.
