are online friends real?
it seems so doesn't it, though!
I found out, 'tis not so.

I dreamed once a future
with Mary and her long claws
suspended from a dragon body
captive and held by force field
hidden beneath a big cowled robe
saddened by a stainless steel trough
and a baby tended by robots.
Joesph busily scanned nametags
from angels misting purifiers.
The drummer boy stood by self-playing
digital drum and keyboard
while field hands guided home cattle
with drones directed by a joystick.
The tri-satellite video capture
appeared simultaneously
on all earthling implants
and all tipped with a click and smile
but when the three kings zoomed in
from Mars on hovercraft,
everyone reposted. Alas,
it was all an eggnog induced
hallucination cured by my analyst
mind wipe. Merry Christmas Techies.

..TECHIE IN 2030
Year twenty thirty techie surged ahead
Sudden, unsteady gait filled him with dread
Baffled docs said he was sound
Checked tricorder all well found
Clicking screen perched forever on the bed!

Techie Life
A place, dark and dingy
Two eyes staring, swollen
Glued to the screen upright
Sucking blood with techie tongues.
A table though with no work
Yet piled up with drafts
Of the ability and capability
That forced it to sit on the chair.
A head with hair falling down
Flashing the dying scalp
Hands on the mouse
That eats into the flesh of romance.
Monthly perks and all that
With avarice of fleshy world
Blunted the edge of lofty thoughts
Once flourished in literary world.
