Go squeeze
lemons and limes,
taste the torrential tart.
Let your knees buckle beneath you,
swiftly.
Pucker your lips perfect the twist,
the tangy 'Oh' fills you
nutrient rich
straight 'C'.

Tangy sweethearts blended so well,
lemonade and love a fine mix;
Leisurely pour or a quick fix,
sugar and a bang will dispel;
Our flavors make each other swell;
Shaken hard with red and white sticks,
tangy sweethearts;
We ‘get’ each other we just gel;
Becoming ride or die sidekicks
adds mischief to our bag of tricks;
A lovely chill at once befell,
tangy sweethearts.

marmalade in my refrigerator
marmalade in my tea
marmalade in my dreams tonight
marmalade makes me feel free
I love her orange-y flavor
her taste makes me happy all day long
I honor my friend marmalade
With this happy upbeat song
She makes me feel happy
I am smiling all the time
I love her on my toast
I love her sweet tangy tasty brime
marmalade, you make me happy!
marmalade, you give me joy!
marmalade, your name is snappy!
marmalade for every girl and boy.

~ Since I never knew,
I thought I'd share this with you ~
No larger than olives or grapes
They're orange and oval in shape
They grow on a tree
And O! Mercy me!
Tart flavors from kumquats escape!

Alluring and glamorous a flower you were,
You opened your spirit whole heartedly,
And the butterfly in me found the nectar,
Sipping from it brewed a love medley.
Time changes a lot of things,
Who knew that the nectar would turn to booze?
I turned our lives into a graveyard of buried hopes,
Losing you neither seemed a loss nor a bruise.
Now I realize that my actions were rush and unfair,
My infectious affection for you has always been virgin pure,
Others would have found me too much to bear,
But you always devise a way to endure.
If only you knew how I felt with your hands delicately on my skin,
That time you wiped away my tears with your kiss,
The rosy look from your sparky eyes made me win,
You defiantly, still pamper me with ineffable bliss.

On our first date, John took me to a bar where he knew the bartender well. John did not know I was underage – he’d never asked. LOL
