Does your TV have a timer?
Will it turn off automatic?
I miss the days of simple viewing and television static.
On switch
Off switch
No subscriptions and way less problematic.
Before never needing a broadband service ,
electric installation or a qualified mechanic
Thirty-nine minutes I've searched in a crazed and frenzied panic.
If you could see me now
How I am reacting...
you'd think I was about to board the sinking ship Titanic.
I've even looked in all the pockets, of everybody's jacket.
But how else am I supposed to watch my favorite drama?
And all of its dramatics
The only silver lining is my toddler's nursery rhymes
She asks for, so eagerly erratic
Ive not had to endure such noise or listen to its racket

Paranoid by a vision I saw you standing there
Cancel my subscriptions the billing is just unfair
Thoughts of indecision rattle up inside my brain
Belief in the existence of the terror that they reign
Listening to these people perfect strangers to me
Everybody's talking but there is no one listening
Implanting certain visions a mirage so untrue
Shuffling down this pathway lost without a clue
Loneliness is a burden although I'm never alone
Rings of a telepathetic my head used like a phone
Happiness is a mystery all smiles should beware
Silent Sound No Touch Torture the weapon in the air

I’m over Siri-ous,
I’m over-charging,
My screen time is up,
I watched at p0rn again,
My audio volumes are up,
I’m searching stupid things,
I’m not closing all my circles,
I haven’t walked long enough,
I don’t stand at all the right times,
I may be an online shopping junkie,
I’m spending too much time on Tiktok,
My heart jumps around the wrong guys,
I’m looking at bright screens late at night,
I’m getting too many calories from cocktails,
I’m not taking full advantage of my subscriptions,
I need to upgrade my hardware, software and my attitude.

We're all ingredients in the humanity stew
The sad clowns
The prescription abusers
The chickens running around without their heads
This dish can never be out done
It's killing me
Ashes from Pompeii
The braces of teenage heart throbs
Bloody black and blues from abusive relationships
Fill the pots and pans
A homemade meal per say
Chain linked sausage fences
Add some Epsom salt
Some beef chuck
Giblets
And Simonides of Ceos
Daphoenus bones
A dentist and a retainer
Cornets, pirouettes and percocets
Awkward magazine subscriptions
You can buy the cookbook in all its opacity
See it in the Intrepid Museum
There is work to be done on Mount Olympus
Therefore we should go see a movie at the drive in

are we all waiting for the next best thing
while resting on this plateau
is the hidden from sight
better than our imagination
or than dreams that come at night
are we always looking over our shoulder?
wondering if it passed us by
was it at that busy intersection
the corner of was and will be
where we jay-walked with indiscretion
why not slow down and just enjoy
keep what we have without the ploys
learn the nuances, emit the true feeling
understanding all that love allows
and cancel the subscriptions no longer needed
