When you see I look just fine,
looking like im having fun,
it's that Trelegy ellipta, all mine,
my life saving,
horribly hard-core,
expensive friend.
Improves quality of life
but hastens that final end.
It's that daringly dubious
double edged sword.
There's no purpose in intubation.
But I beat him back
as best I can,
armed with Z-packs
and other medication,
his staph advances once again.
I am armed and ready.
I stand at the gate,
watching closely,
I know his plan
to hit me harder
to extract that fee,
but I know just when to strike,
the moment to open that Z.
I have to laugh,
going home has never been so much fun,
i'm certainly not suffering.
But he will come
like a thief in the night
to take me home
suddenly.
I know not when.
"And magnificently we will flow...
into the mystic..." (Van Morrison)

It is true I am a Madman! -Pick a line from a book and write a poem based on that line, NaPoWrMo
It is true I am a Madman!
TRUE! —nervous—very, very dreadfully
nervous I had been and am but why will you
say that I am mad?
From the Tell-Tale Heart
Yes, I am a nervous wreck
Ever since that day
When I went for a run
Almost died when I fell
And had 14 operations
Battling a mutant staph infection
That almost killed me
And yes, I am still mad
In a way
Madly in love
With the love of my life
To that crime
I gladly confess

Having a dog saved my life
when I was a young lad
a dog bit me
and I became terrified of dogs
and to some sense still am
but then many years ago
i had a dog
a husky dog
raised as a pupy
the dog though was half wolf
hated people watching him eat
I gave the dog to my sister
as she seemed to be able
to tame his savage heart
later my wife
had a beagle
and he saved my life
when I was recovering
from a broken heal
Jason was my constant companion
during those dark days
when I was afraid
that I would die
from the staph infection
the dog was smart
compassionate
and seemed to understand me
as I talked to him all day long
and afterwards I no longer
was afraid of dogs
as they were now
my friends

Garnished notion
Shallow Waters
Curtains closing
Empty Bottles
Staph infections
Rose Garden
Driven Direction
Key Center peace in turn
Rock Mountain Grey urn
Golden pasta macaroni cheese
Green Acres eggs in ham
Death mute it praised alien
rambling in the Old English band
While singing Old Lady Marmalade
Deep valleys
toilet flush
Field cans of ease
Radioactive honey bees
Gamma radiated maple trees
I was just does all of this really mean
Why does it matter
And does Mrs Butterworth have any daughters
Faith Trust and clutter basement. Full of empty bottles

More awake than ever before
In a Universe of Darkness!
The cold grips me to my core,
But without a body, shiverless.
No heavenly bodies or light,
Only layers of blackened fog.
Then a figure appeares to the right,
And moving, disturbs the bog.
I am disturbed! But who am I?
I don't even know my name!
Who put me in this frigid sty?
And why do I feel no pain?
All is silent, no sound is heard,
Though figures move undeterred.
I am frozen, bound somehow,
Why is my movement disallowed?
It is a dream I tell myself,
But, how can I escape it?
I'll cry out to the Lord Himself,
"Please, free my captive spirit!"
"Sir, sir, take your temperature?"
As she taps it on my teeth.
I could not write my signature,
'Cause my memory's still on leave.
Oh my God, the pain is back!
And now I start to shiver.
Because of drugs my senses lack,
But at least some light - a sliver!
And now I knew I did not die.
The staph, it did not kill me.
From the Darkest Pit, He heard my cry,
And chose to give me mercy!
Maybe it was all just a dream,
But, man, it eclipsed those drugs!
And made me stronger than I seem,
In the Inner Man - that's my plug!

Beware there man when out for your drink
Your wondering eye the one that don't think
Basking in glory man of the hour
Spotting one there pretty hair with a flower
Spending your pay wife at home wait
She seems to like you in your drunker-ed state
Unaware you're half in the bag
You've gained the attention Bell Island Hag
Now there is a legend this Hag be pretty
That seek out men men that are gritty
Rough and tough ready to haggle
She has a deal to the lane with a gaggle
Not sure you heard it particular laugh
The spell is cast down with the staph
But that's not all in loves embrace
True Hag revealed in terror you face
Wrath of sin the ugly Hag shown
Wouldn't have done it you'd only known
To late for that the cost is spent
Many of men have been where you went

He was a man of God but that thug didn't care in the least.
That animal walked into a Parish and murdered the Priest.
When he was arrested, he said that he killed the Priest because he hated God.
People were very unhappy because of what he did, they sure didn't applaud.
He was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life in jail.
But God didn't want him to be in prison, he wanted him to be in Hell.
God made that man become ill and he gave him Staph Infection.
He suffered tremendously and then he died of that affliction.
Now he's burning in Hell and he's begging God to let him out.
But he can't escape his torment no matter how loud he shouts.
As his flesh burns, he wishes that he hadn't killed that Priest.
Now he will spend eternity with Satan who is the Beast.

chaos, love, and emotions
run through my veins
like fiery stool through the
colon of a mexican
the pain of my soul is
almost comparable to that of
a staph infection
the bright lights in my eyes
shine through the dark
dank cellar door of your
diaper

I have seen miracles
Written By Dean Masciarelli
October 19, 2009 (5:02pm)
I have seen miracles
take place
in my own life time
And every one of them
Have been
wonderful blessings
Especially when
I really needed them
The first one was
the gift of adoption
Because I could
have ended up
being an orphan
But I was chosen
when I was
still very young
By a family
That couldn’t have
children of there own
And that was one
the greatest
miracles in my life time
Because my parents
loved me as there own
And I truly loved
them in return
And the second miracle
happened
when I had a staph infection
And I could have died
from that one
But God had different plans
for me
and he chose to keep me around
And to this day I am thankful
for all the miracles that
have come to me in my life time
Because I am truly grateful
for each and everyone of them
And I just hope and pray
if you really need a miracle
that you will get one very soon
Because you deserve to be
blessed with miracles
just as much as I have been
