You have my
vote
But not my
mindset
Where once
engaged
I’ve moved
along
No longer
hooked
On every
soundbite
Big picture
focus
The right
— from wrong
(Dreamsleep: August, 2026)
A day set aside for love
a true holiday should be
Neither soundbite nor text
can ever please me
On a day meant to renew vows
of forever, ‘til death do us part
So, please Cupid, a day off today
is a good way to start
sound it out
let it be heard
to mute is so absurd
let's hear it out
not drawl on written word
mouthed in silent blurb
to no one who called out
serpent
slithers secretly
surveys surroundings
sibilates spittle
snake skin shines
she snipes
savours seeds
