?? In search of mighty elixir
I roam
across the streets intoxicated,
destroyed I whirl,
destroyed I whirl.
?? In church,
I lurched forward to the altar for the lofty sagacity.
A dome,
a gnome without name behind the tome,
abruptly a dove perched over its birch,
giving the stained smirch,
deployed, I twirl,
devoured, I swirl.

Let the sparrows sing and perch as they land on their birch
Let the squirrels swiftly search for their acorns as they smirch
Let the swans softly stray as they beautify their passageway
Let the trees swing and sway for their grandeur they display
Let my love be reborn again as it did before way back then
Let nature drip its poetic pen as it recreates a zestful Zen.

In a time of matters I reflect,
Being forever perspicacious;
Wrong decisions, false steps,
Leading to become fallacious.
In need of caution or I will fall foul,
To be specifically as wise as an owl.
Walking on the edge of normality,
Having doubtful thoughts ahead;
An inclination to sidestep formality,
Often times hanging by a thread.
This is my life and where it abodes,
Feeling my choices are crossroads.
Rash decisions taken with consequences,
The mind and the heart in hopelessness;
Too late to repair the damage contributed,
Leaving me breathing within emptiness.
In this situation I become smirch,
Conducive to a drunkard’s search.
In a time of end matters I reflect,
For my regrets are great and pitiful;
Should I cry over spilled milk?
After which I shall become guileful.
When finally I become trounced,
I become a dead cat that bounced

Bury me not in a gloomy yard
Shaded by the wall of a church,
Where graves look jaded and old
Their epitaphs veiled in smirch.
Lay me near some water’s edge,
Under leafy conifers tall,
Sheltered from the heat and rain,
Where twittering birds would enthrall.
Plant seeds of trees that flower
So their roots may grow unseen,
Winding across my jaded wood
Their probing relentlessly keen.
Let wiry creepers reach out low
To my grave in candid play,
For mourners a prayerful glance
When they visit on “All Souls’ day”.
May seasons weary trundle by
Their shadows across my yard,
My surreal self would wink at them
For being my soulful guard.
Germinating in a cradle brown
Pale green with a coloured hue,
Shall rise again with a radiant sun
Embraced by the endless blue.
