Premium MemberNursing Home Boogie

Apple blossom boogie
Whoopee Whoop Whoop
Double time and triple time
Have some vegetable soup

Fats Dominoes in the hallway
Shuffleboard too
Twist with Chubby Checkers
Add morphine to my stew

I’m catching glimpses
Dancing round my nursing room bed
The nurse starts screaming loudly
I guess I’ve fallen on my head

Give her extra pills someone whispers.
Dancing with Elvis’ blue suede shoes
I shut my eyes and pretend
I don’t hear these nuts and cuckoos

Prancing around the hallway
The alarms go off so loud
I’ve lost a lot of dignity
In this weird old people crowd

Premium MemberFour Hours of Eternity - Part 2

I opened my eyes, I was standing on the Shuffleboard deck; talking with my new "Dad"
Mr. Adams. On the main deck a few feet below, my Bride, my Life. my Beautiful Wife; Lenore stood by the railing of the deck. She sent me a seductive covert wink that made my loin twitch. Mr. Adams what time is it. You can call me Dad now, it's 7:14, Why. I don't know, I was just wondering. I caught Lenore's eye and raised my glass, our first
private toast. She tossed her long auburn hair over her shoulder and nodded her approval. "Nubbies come down here Please", Sorry Dad my Forever Calls "Mom, Dad, Ma

Today In History June 10

Bridget Bishop – Salem witch
Today on Gallows’ Hill did twitch
The year was 1692
When witches trials were brand new
The first of nineteen to be hung
One reason – an outspoken tongue
And she wore the witch’s big black hat
She ran a tavern on top of that
For Salem Town where she did live
They say she dressed provocative
A bright red bodice over her black dress
They claimed she left me in distress
They say she’d spoken to the dark lord
And late at night played shuffleboard
No one defended her at her trial
Twas no surprise that after while
They hung her there on Gallows’ Hill
They say her spirit haunts there still

All the young men who are gay
Celebrate this glorious day
For into the world this day did come
That great gay icon – Frances Gumm
The year was 1922
She would become an ingénue
With Mickey Rooney at her side
Nineteen films they did survive
As Dorothy in the Land of Oz
She won our hearts and our applause
Now over the rainbow blue birds fly
With Judy Garland bye and bye

The 2nd Street Pub

When I want to go out
To have a good time with my friends
I head to the bar
where the fun never ends
To come for the live music
Have a few beers shooting pool
See yum yum on Wednesdays
The Tuesday talent show is cool
There is also Thursday Thunder
and the occasional bike run
Second Street is the place to go
Check it out, have lots of fun
Bands on the weekends
Music of all kinds and every style
The owners they are wonderful
People here know how to smile
Out on the dance floor
Try for high score on mega touch
Team up to shoot shuffleboard
This place it has so much
An atmosphere with laughter
Which puts a smile upon my face
An enviroment to have a blast
The pub being the place
Everytime i've been there
It always was a treat
They really got it going on
down at second street.
