Life a New

Everything is a new.
Each day as it come and goes is a new.
Each person each day is a new.
The young person is a new because their is much for them to learn.
The older people is a new because they have much to share with the young.

It's a seventeenth-century term for a young man lazily wasting time nothing better to do than to hang; used by an older person who's talking about a young person who behaves boldly despite being inexperienced man. ~X~X~X~

Missing Sky

A young person
Missing a loved one,
May seem to think
That there is no sky
To look up at.

Their world
May seem millions,
Of miles away.
Up there,
With that missing sky.

They may ask why?
They may ask how?
But in the end there's nothing
They can do now.

Oh I can see why.
With your world hidden,
With the missing sky.

Premium Member Passage of Time

The days turn into night
how quickly they pass by
from day to day
then from year to year
time runs away
minutes that come and go
moments lost in time
how quickly they pass
as a young person
it seemed so long
as a old person
we wonder where it went
so as days turn into night
and minutes and hours pass by
remember time does slip away.

The Streets

Troubled minds
With no direction
Adolescence
Without a meaning
Gunfights in the streets
Leaves a young person
With no hope
Teens in broken homes
Nobody cares
Needles and pills
Leaving scars for eternity
Roses on the graves
Of the fallen through the years
Still they continue to
Break all the rules
Thinking life is just a test
Born in the streets
With a bulletproof vest

Coming of Age

As a young person you’re climbing ladders
You must fit in, you must have the right style
First unaware of what really matters

Selfishly you think all’s well for awhile
Then days of sorrow begin to weigh in
Lost love, bloody wars, hard to find a smile

No longer selfish, you dig deep within
You pray that anger ‘n conflict will cease
You open your soul, let healing begin

As you look to HIM for guidance ‘n peace.

Life Time Friend Written: by Miracle Man 7/2/2017 God brought two people into friendship’s bond, Causing worry and fret over one’s well being. Thoughts, prayer and the years have spawned, Memories that remain as my clock is fleeing; A troubled young person when first we met, Was my discernment at this friendship start. I desired to release from what life had beset, God had placed this burden within my heart.

Something Like a Dance

Deep blue
of the morning
         calls
          us
  Have you noticed
the clouds overhead?
   Sparkling eyes
signal laughter
growing in our hearts
as light pours down
from the sky
we are enraptured
   by the dance of
  the seasons
       which is ours to treasure
everyday and forever
Somewhere, off in the distance
      a young person is weeping
for a lost cause
An incredible dream
which has gone up in smoke
