Life Time Friend

God brought two people into friendship’s bond,
Causing worry and fret over one’s well being.
Thoughts, prayer and the years have spawned,
Memories that remain as my clock is fleeing;
A troubled young person when first we met,
Was my discernment at this friendship start.
I desired to release from what life had beset,
God had placed this burden within my heart.
