Cycle
The sun burns brightly,
But it recedes nightly,
Only to rise again.
Like the ocean which flows,
Holds briefly, then goes
In order to wash out our sin.

Blank Amongst the Fake
Wishing to be numb
Coaxed by it's powerful fake love
Let it take over and drown out
Wishing I've made bad choices
To be wash out
To not remember a part of your life is a gift
Get in
drug up
drain in
Blood drips from my torn skin...

Purge This Poison
Purge this poison from my veins
I pray for you to take my pains
Supreme your kingdom reigns
If you can make and move the rains
Then you can break satan's evil chains
Rid all that banes my brain’s grains
Wash out all the stains
And definitely save my sinful remains...

Wash Out
Stumbling in the trophy room,
Frozen faces, free of gloom,
Forever Hang, but what's their doom?
Thoughts of loss, betrothed to loom.
He dries his eyes and lips on sleeve,
Then washes down his last reprieve.
Ever grateful for the chance,
To get a final moment's glance....

Dark Night of Christmas Eve
. for public domain
(Why some people walk dark alleys on Christmas Eve)
From stone battlements they stare
into blackness, each aware
of the dark night of the soul,
where so many loose their way
ere the breaking of the Day,
wash out to sea with the shoal.
Each a beam of Heaven's Grace,
ready offer God's embrace,
to mend broken lives, whole....

Lazy God
Lazy god,
nibbling cotton candy clouds
guzzling golden grape wine
angels fanning your endless siesta.
With harps and trumpets divine
while this invisible beast
that you fashioned
eats us alive...
Soul creator
galaxy twirler
black hole baker
ocean filler
talking snake maker.
You could wash out this raging fire,
anytime your artisan heart desires...
We're patiently waiting!...

My Body and My Soul
Today,
my sinned hands
wash out in the
blood of wounds;
Today,
my big head
bow down at your
altar of pure love;
Today,
my two eyes,
looks with a guilt
at the feet
of your kindness;
Today,
my ruined body
feels by the holy touch
of the cross;
My body; My soul is all yours
My land; My heart is all yours !

Heavens Weep; Skies Soon Warm
the sun shines
it warms my pallid skin
colors seem brighter
though the light will not last
soon it will rain and colors wash out
but it matters not, i dance in the rain anyway
and sing songs to the somber clouds,
soon they open and let out the light they guard
and it warms my skin once again
only to disappear when i sleep
whispering faint songs of the stars in my ear
as the sky beings to weep....

Annual Ritual
That awkward moment
when you stammer,
truth spurts out:
how not to offer a straight reply.
Your green eyes
tell me the pain
of last century.
Of armistice, of amputated legs
and then you don’t know what to do with your existence.
Darkened trees spit the starlight.
I will wait for the maddening crowd
to take the dip in the holy lake,
to wash out their sins
under the full moon.
SATISH VERMA...

Gather Yourself
GATHER YOURSELF
gather yourself at the
ocean
where waves will wash out
the poison
healing spirits with salt in
slow motion
gather yourself in a wild
terrain
where choices flow without
restraints
as warm breezes caress
the brain
gather yourself in Heavenly
realms
where gentle soft clouds
will calm
and…
hearts deep with desires
experience the
freedom of
God’s
perfect

Empty the Pot
It would be fine indeed,
if we could wash out the mind
each morning.
Thoughts get stale,
the mind like an air deprived swamp,
begins to stink,
and the only way
to go out into the world anew
is in the same way
our souls came into it.
It is wise to swill and pour,
flush and evacuate,
drain and empty,
tip and spill,
ejecting all that collected piss
we’ve been carrying around,
for so many yesterday -
that overfull pot
we call our feelings.
