I don't have everything,
And I haven't much money in the bank,
Nor do I have much shiny things,
            Yet, I do have everything
That I'll ever need in this vale of tears,
          And that everything is...YOU.

"Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave Gently they go, the beautiful, the tender, the kind" - Edna St. Vincent Millay On my back, looking up past the steeple, I view pure beauty beyond the vale of tears. Soon, I will be going down, but I am not resigned to stay. This soothing peace is otherworldly but for cries of all who mourn my demise

She walks along an avenue
some call the Vale of Tears.

Her agonies and sorrows brew
in eyes that vail her tears.

She whiles alone, her gaze unmet,
behind a veil of tears.

But can she flee from sadness, yet
with no avail of tears?

In time, the Rue of No Regrets
will countervail her tears.

Just Wonderin' Why Lord
Wonderin’ Why Eighty years…goin Strong…What has God against me To let me live so long? My friends and family are gone Have shed this earthly vale… Why do I tarry on? Could death be no more Than mere metamorphisis A breaking of a brand new dawn? Why me…alone O Lord Am I punished or am I blessed Why allow me to live so long? Eighty years in this vale of tears And still no end in sight What am I doing wrong…or right? …why do I live so long?...

"I could a tale unfold
Whose lightest word would harrow up thy soul"
When these words Shakespeare wrote
Little did he think how hard they smote
The hearts of men drowning in toil
Amid gross carnage innocence to despoil
The drumbeat of bombs to bring Mosul down
The speeding bullet of a car in Westminster's town
Heartache and agony in this world abound
With life's thorns so many are crowned
It is no wonder that so many weep depressed
And pray to their God for eternal rest...
