Uninvited thoughts from times departed,
Reverberate from mind’s obscure corners,
Residue from days long ago;
Ghost mutterings of clock and location,
When San Diego’s surf was up,
My time of life was young,
And life unstressed,
Before age launched its claim on me;
As a child, this reoccurring dream haunted.
When I would run from a monster chasing me
Then he'd reach out to grab, I'd fly undaunted.
As time went by, from those dreams seemed free.
Now knowing it was death, I face the red sea
Of course, as you can tell. I have no idea about stressed and unstressed syllables. LOL
So short a song it’s with
six, after eight, lines to
settle strife - lovers’ sighs…
Stresses follow unstressed
syllables, and rhyming
smoothly runs, with final
short tail, wrapping the tale.

Sway the day from foggy veil sprinkled across way
The contrast creamy white against waxy green leaves
Adds beauty brightening life upon summer's humid eve

Trying to do Hexameter:
Twelve syllables per line with it reading unstressed/ stressed...
Very difficult to have to look up every word since I would not pronounce these
words like they are suppose to be accented..
