Uprising
From aquifer be low
Break surface
Babbling babbling upwell
Plumos in addy.
Purest Earthblood
Clear clean simplicity
Flow cool and true
Always your level
Quietly condially unremitting...

Swifts
The sky `s their scene
Banquet theirs in blue
Swerving arcs of black serene,
Black shrapnel of an angel`s song.

A dance of life itself
Relentless unremitting
Screaming songs of joy.

All creatures great and small.
Small nothings lshowing us the awe....

A Malady of the Mind
A malady of the mind
Dominates the will
As the surging river
Overruns the mill

Omnipotent craving
The bullpen cannot hold
A temptation unremitting
Annulling principle

No affection or reason
Or threat of penalty
Can possibly deter - or -
Potentiate the will...

A New Kind of Poet
A new kind of poet,
Rebaked and remoulded,
Penning by dreaming,
Prophetic nib,
Cautiously articulate
By visionary inspiration.
A new kind of poet,
Unrestrained by marauding lips.
A new kind of poet with
Unremitting thought.

Rebecca
Rotting in the dark regions of toiling life
Engulfed in tragedy and unremitting strife
Beauty pours forth and floods your green eyes
Empty, you fill the voids of my madness
Crumpled, you hold me up and decrease my sadness
Catching each fall and laughing at my stupidity
And filling my life with happiness and humility...

There's Scarce a Word As Ominous
There's scarce a word as ominous,
As the word 'belief'
The Gospels yield terror
As oft they do relief

A damnation unremitting,
The wage of unbelief
Is to me as comforting,
As capture to the thief

                                                  ....

Illusions broken
     bringing untold pain to debt
     unremitting hate

     Move from the victim
     evil never merited
     love from reprisal

     Grant Grace joyously
     forgiveness not denial
     embracing it's peace.

Unremitting responsibilities
Aspirations tampered by reality
Relentless quest for more
Beautiful wife, children, home
Cars, boat, vacations, clothes
All requisite trappings
Abundance of wealth and success
Colleges, tuitions, mortgages
Debt free, substantial savings
Old age, sickness, infirmity
Dusty, unplayed
Fender Stratocaster guitar...

Mesmerizing in more ways than one!
Astral wonder; lovers underneath Milky Way.
  Gooseberry-playing crescent moon above
Is widely smirking at jokes being exchanged.
 Cacophony of sounds; unremitting, inviting.
A romantic picnic outing; quite magical.
 Lambency of twilight beggars description!...

Heaven Awaits
Let it not be forgotten, your unremitting love inhabited us all; sacrificing several times over from daybreak to nightfall. And beneath our grieving eyes, surpassing the sun kept in arms of cloudy skies; all thats left to say, is Dorothy Jean....Heaven Awaits! I miss you grandmother!! January 6, 1936-Ocober 30, 2015...

The Lighthouse
Hails upon stormier tempestuous

sea surges, ascending, mountainous

waves crashing, splattering, appallingly

Strikes against lighthouse's sentinelling

Beam glowing, rebuffing, unremitting

High tidal's signature magnificence

To prevent maritime catastrophes

Whence before radar-scope inventiveness

Ants
Although in strength little ants are weak seemingly,
Years of their gnawing may bring about a calamity.
By hard work, they can make a river or sea leak,
Also they can eat up a giant whale beak by beak.
By unremitting efforts, they destroy rafters and beams,
Digging hard, they cause collapses of stone columns.
Those who are in power here is my advice for all,
Don’t make light of things unimportant and small.

unremitting tintinnabulations
    from balcony wind chimes
          that faithfully obey
      the cool morning breeze;
                 blowing
           ever so tenderly.
         'tis nourishing food
           to my soul; as if...
                  hearing
          the choir of angels!

Heart Versus Brain
Heart Versus Brain
© Ben Burton 2/25/2020

I feel so very, very far away from me
As though it were myself who up and left
Such strange, mind manifestations, seeking relief
From the unremitting pain of my love's death

And my heart knows well that it won't be our last
While my brain insists on doubting the unknown
That kindred souls who believe have love which will not pass
God, it's difficult to keep that faith... alone...

Every Mornings
For my friend,
James Forte

Now,
when I'm old
and gone through life,
I sit and wonder,
why,
since I was born
day after day
I ran
after ephemeral desires
unremitting…

I'm watching
at the young
and I see
the same run,
the same pass
of their time...

From my garden
of roses,
I hope more
like those who come after me
they will read
at least in old age
these lyrics...

Only the sun
rise quietly
over our lives
every mornings ......

Leaving Her Behind
She reached for you even when you
were no where to be found
waiting for your unconditional love
like merry go round

Same blood running through
each others veins
she was conceived through
a passion igniting a flame

A father is supposed to show
her the way
instead you left her
Astray

For a piece of her will
always be missing
wondering why unremitting

When you left she will
never understand why
to young to remember the
reason for goodbye...

Shed the Light On Bubbles....
Candlelight flickering waves on skin
shadows on tile in dance begin
artistic motion of lathered emotion
flame soft caressing the fuse of explosion

Lotioned bubbles being spread with care
glistening reflections we each to share
mirrored beauty of love to drip
humming sensations brought forth from lips

Meltdown will happen to candle before
these two lovers unremitting ignore
from tub to floor,to carpet to bed
candlelight flickers continue to shed........
