Leaving Her Behind

She reached for you even when you
were no where to be found
waiting for your unconditional love
like merry go round

Same blood running through
each others veins
she was conceived through
a passion igniting a flame

A father is supposed to show
her the way
instead you left her
Astray

For a piece of her will
always be missing
wondering why unremitting

When you left she will
never understand why
to young to remember the
reason for goodbye

A touching poem. Not all men are meant to be fathers and neither are all women meant to be mothers . . . and some of them they realize it too late. It so unfair and hurtful for the children left behind. Amitiés

This one touched my heart in a sad way. To a father, his daughter should always be his most priceless gift. I do not understand how people can just walk away. It would just destroy me.

It is scar a child will always have, never fully comprehending the reasoning. Because in truth there is never a reason for it. Thank you for your comment.
