Premium Member Behind the Shadows
She hides her feminine charms
behind a veiled silhouette
allowing unobstructed
undistracted views
of nature’s abundant gifts.

Yet, instinctively,
furtive wandering eyes
skim hurriedly from light to dark
surrundering to the strong allure

What Seems Obvious
a new chapter starts in both books
the pages blank; pens hovering
what I've learned from you:
tread more cautiously
don't trust so easily
look for hidden agendas

my path looks unobstructed
debris in high piles to the side
but I will not take at face-value
what seems obvious
that much I have learned

what did I leave you with?
was there anything?
we talk of you, no questions of me
you box what you can carry
checking what's left for free...

Premium Member Thankful For Accurate History and Maya Angelou
May we be blessed to acknowledge all the wonders in our life
that have, for us, thus far accrued…
and to begin each day with a word of thanks…
and thoughts of gratitude.

Today I’m thankful for history…
when it’s an honest unobstructed view
and for the poetry and wisdom
of Maya Angelou

Who hoped for the day…
as I do
when we are blessed to see
Native American
and black history
taught from one book…
An honest and accurate book on U. S. history....

Low Tide
The tide's out at present
 Means the water's further away
 There's a whole lot more
 Beach out there
 Than there was
Six or even five hours ago
 Temporary real estate
 Suitable for construction
 Of the grandest of sandcastles
 Unobstructed sea views
One hundred and eighty degree vista
 No permit required

Its a longer walk to the water
But not as far to swim
 As it often is
 This time of day
It's thanks to the moon we're told
 Taking the beach away
 Every 12 hours
 For cleaning I imagine...
