Notes About The Poem

Behind the Shadows

She hides her feminine charms
behind a veiled silhouette
allowing unobstructed
undistracted views
of nature’s abundant gifts.

Yet, instinctively,
furtive wandering eyes
skim hurriedly from light to dark
surrundering to the strong allure
of the mysterious and unknown.

Amazing reaction by a poet to an image. That is what the best poets do enhance with words what might of been missed by different eyes. I loved both stanzas as together they paint the total scene.
