Snakes
Hearts beat like stars die,
Footprints are washing away.
Snakes uncoil,
Demons fly.
Save yourself,
No one is getting out alive....

Over Started To Boil
Over Started To Boil

Was upset when things over started to boil;
Then there appeared to be another turmoil;
Peace and quiet,
Now part of diet,
And feel better when I will relax and uncoil.

Red Alert
My Charms disarmed, a panic alarm-
A Signal that something's wrong
Oh, how I fear I'll fall to harm,
And question where I belong

All the talk, their root and stalk
Grows in Sadists' soil
We planted seeds in wicked weeds,
And were fruitful with our toil
Alerted, deserted; no method asserted-
While vile vines uncoil!...

Premium Member Time is the Healer
Inspired by Time is the Healer by Glenn Hughes

It's an old expression.
Time heals every wound.
It's not an easy lesson
when you've been marooned.

It's an old expression.
A watched pot won't boil,
and your depression
won't lift or uncoil.

Time is the healer.
Don't worry about "when".
Pretty soon we'll see yer
back on your feet again....

Premium Member Asp Clasped
Listen to poem:
I gasped, as asp clasped fast
around my head like a plaster cast cap.
It was coiled round and round
like a ringlet of hair wrapped
around a curler, with head reared up
poised like spitting cobra.
What spell can I cast to uncoil, unclasp the asp?
For I'm too scared to grasp the asp
and cast the serpent skyward.
Perhaps wearing the Uraeus asp cap
means I'm a Pharaoh!...

Premium Member Smokey
spirit hunter,
you stalk the shadow moon
neck straining to uncoil upon diaphanous night

what whisper have you heard
above the creak of batten board
the shiver of a window pane

arched and graceful is your silhouette
cat eyed guardian
moonlight prowler
paw prancer

settle the unsettled ones from
fear and in insubstantial light
protect with tooth
and claw your Mother’s
night...

In the Real World
So its crazy
My mind is lazy
The view is hazy
In the real world
Lifes in a whirl
Ties unfurl
Uncoil your curl
In the real world
Defence is attack
You want to strike back
But courage you lack
In the real world
So acceptance is real
The emotions you feel
The stress that you deal
In the real world
learn to let go
just live it slow
maybe say no
in the real world...

You'Re No Pun
Like a skeletal skunk

You no longer make scents

You are a rotten moose

No longer worth a buck

Your opinions are like a dead bird

Dreadful and completely fowl

The only thing you have of worth

Is deep inside the soil

Maybe if you bury yourself

A new root may uncoil

If you somehow spring new roots

Like a dead owl I would still give not two undead hoots...

Premium Member If I Could Hide
Oh how i wish i could hide inside these words
and look straight into your dreamy eyes
hear you uncoil your imagination
your sexy lips give out amorous sighs.
To light your fuse stir you into action
tender to the flame that keeps me alive
as my desire traces your silhouette mind
unable to touch yet our love will survive.
If only i could hide inside these words.

At the Shore of Self
I have walked
              on the grinding edge
of my wind-sharpened shores,
              have talked of myself
beside the surf of myself.

I am grown thin in the service of
        speaking thoughts out loud.

Where the shingle washes
beached starfish,
long-drowned words uncoil
                to raise my voice
above a roaring silence.

Still, an in-coming tide
swallows and forgets,
        swallows and forgets....

Tendrels
Limpid tendrals stretch forth to the sky
as they nestle deep in the forest's embrace
and off their tendrals
a sheen of water slides off
this liquid sunshine
that enables growth

tender tendrals purposefully break the soil
verdant and fresh
and will uncoil as they are programmed
when the sun finally shines
in amongst the trees

I inhale the forest's various scents
and observe the tendrels
intermingling with each other...

A vicious spell has been cast
into a black cauldron to boil
Trouble and toil attempts to spoil
The snake is beginning to uncoil

He will keep you up late reeling in hate
        continually accepting the dangling bate
Post twelve o’clock chime precisely timed
his louring voice will play games
            behind the candles flickering flames...
