crystal clear winter seascape

Queen's countless quoted queries
Revealed...remains real raw
Waiting while worrying...weird
So sick...seeking...seizing...

Hope of the Hopeless

A droplet of icicle glistening in the sun;
Frozen in a tear.
Is an unanswered prayer on a dead man’s lips;
Frozen in eternity.

Unanswered Prayer Backlog

Our vicar says prayer is the best
Our doctor says pills pass the test
The Powerball
Is no cure-all
But its way ahead of the rest!

Question Words

Why is the sky
Where is where
When do the seconds go
Who turns to how
What is my answer to everything
and please is a question unanswered

The Hunt

A gift inside the box...
  one question left unanswered

Whose key to then unlock
  lay distant—still unfound

(Baltimore Maryland: April, 2019)

Unanswered Question

Why does people keep running always
It is so confusing in many ways
Might be because of fear of left behind
or because of race to leave other's behind

The Unanswered Call

My weary pen indites a weary plea,
To thee, who turn'st away eternally.
No deep response,no answer to my soul-
Then set me free, or let me cease to be.

Life

Too many
hours,
Inside of
lonely
days,
A wasted
heart,
In so many
ways,
A hidden
hope,
And life
goes by,
Concealing
sins,
Unanswered
why.

What are the questions we're afraid to ask
But the light in which we will never bask.

Never Never....

Never
would I question
a dream
until
I landed inside one
so pretty
and unanswered
so I landed
upon
blue
a gentle friend
and crept inside
a golden
one....

Beautiful Lies

Pretty smiles
Deceitful laughs
Unanswered cries
Lonely days
&goodbyes
Given up on hope
Fairytales don’t come true
Liars prey on soft hearts
And they seek to devour you.

Unanswered Questions

Has our universe got an end and a beginning?
perhaps the beginning of the universe is our ending.

Questions Unanswered

In the quest of knowing and not
knowing, the remembering is
what baffles me profusely.
For I shall never know
what it holds for me
and what it holds
against
my solemn
self.

Truth To Thaw

A hunter of the frozen past,
  I stalk all time unanswered

To kill the demon inside the ice
  with eyes that burn,
  —its truth to thaw

(Grantham New Hampshire: February, 2017)

Killing My First Russian

Deep in the fountain
of life’s betrayal
My knife drank freely,
a last denial
With screams unanswered,
he tried to run
The first of many
—from Odessa’s son

(Warsaw: March, 2022)

Where Were You Last Night

The question i need unanswered
My hopes and dreams obliterated
by lies that are born from truth
Reliving every moment of our time
in the pause before your answer
and dying in the after

An Unanswered Question

When misery strikes, one may ask: Why me?
Finding no answer, may say: Let it be!

Ashe or Husserl’d tell us how to cope with it.
But the question remains unanswered, doesn’t it?

Waking Up, Finding Me

Waking up. will it ever come?
Holding fear, regret dread in my hands
Other people seem so sure

Another day passes and I'm still lost
Many questions left unanswered

I am still unkown

Senseless World

Questions of yesterday
have been left unanswered
Riddles have filled the mind
Wondering day by day
Trying to finding answers
To why the wind cannot be seen yet felt
It is a senseless world’

Premium Member Weird Weird World

We live in a weird, weird world,
With questions unanswered
And deep mysteries galore,
And when questions are answered,
The questions don’t grow less,
But strangely – they grow more!

early morning snow
cold granite stones
foot prints weave
between stories of the past
they lie quietly
nothing more to say
unanswered questions
secrets held forever
my single rose
...a tear

Premium Member Brain Drain

My brain with thoughts doth overflow,
With unanswered questions, I should know.
My curiosity is at its peak,
As information, I try to seek.
At 84, I wonder why,
We start to live and, then we die.
