Most well-known dinosaur I suspect
Is the star of Hollywood, Tyrannosaurus Rex
These guys vainly
Walk around mainly
But to fly Pterodactlyls must flap like heck

I thought it would be fine
to find an alien in the jungle
talked about it to everyone
We headed into the Amazon
I was thinking about running into a puma,
space ships, aliens, a dragon,
and possibly a Tyrannosaurus Rex
You cannot imagine how horrified I was
to find an extra large twenty-foot snake
headed my way making hisses

A contemporary creature,
this Tyrannosaurus Rex is not a carnivore.
He delights in gnashing peanut butter sandwiches
and his habitat is lush
with rocks and bugs and toys
And if I dare suggest he is a little boy--
his mighty roar is deafening.
Its echo captures ancient pains
that live in mother's heart
And for a moment
renders them extinct,
as joy tears them apart.

Now I'm a nine year old female African American girl;
A prodigy and I am a daddy's girl
Mom puts my hair in a bun
Yes, I'm nine but I'm to smart to play with crayons
Roarrrrrrrrrr ZZZZZZZZ
I have a pet
Tyrannosaurus rex
And did I say my name is Lunella Lafayette
Me and my parents live in Manhattan
I am smart enough to save the world
They call me Moon Girl
And my pet name is Devil Dinosaur

AUTUMN DINOSAURS FALL--
On a golden stream,
You whisk me
Bounded by my dreams
Awaken me, you wake me
As I walk in the jaws of the prehistoric pet
Of the bronze-aged old
Tyrannosaurus Rex
Walk on Dino walk
Your footprints are the Grand Canyon
Where you lay your body are the Great Lakes
Bounded by dreams
Dragon reality
Awaken me roar, roar
Ever so daunting
All died out couldn’t survive the cold
Autumn Dinosaurs Falls
