Premium Member Satisfying
John's a diabetic
And should avoid eating anything sweet
I found it pathetic
And made some biscuits for a treat
I made two dozen biscuits
And put them in the oven on a tray
After I cooked them
John ate a dozen straight away...

Premium Member An Ostrich Looks Skinny
An ostrich looks skinny
But if one fell you, you would feel it.
What do you think she weighs?
One hundred? Two hundred? Two fifty?
Would you believe over three hundred pounds?
One of her eggs weighs more than two dozen hen’s eggs.
Give her some respect, and do not step on her foot if you can help it....

Premium Member Dragon Fodder
toothy grin, downcast eyes
hidden by two dozen
sunset roses, a great-big
box of choice-chocolates
‘tis a good thing she doesn’t see
his flaming breath, the ring
on his butt-naked-finger
…this once

I’m back in my book of tricks.
Dragon Fodder given to the wife
after a husband’s bad behavior....

Birth Write
You wrote a verse
it blew my mind
Two dozen words
the normal kind
I'll never see the same again
you popped the top on if and when
My mind has stretched
as Holmes once said
a new demension fills my head
   The world reflected
shades of gray
until the things you had to say
For with your palette, A to Z
you wrote a rainbow
out for me....

ancients believed time lends...
any-chance for anything

anywhere that science be correct...
so its manifestations not crrrack

however two dozen ancient pyramids sank
into the sands unlike the boats of plank...

that carried the stones across distances
to the desert locale of historic instances...

of stone creations built to float on sand...
ancients science and mathematics was something grand

stan sand...

A Rose For Me
A Rose For Me I don't want one, or two dozen roses. Just one rose would mean so much to me. One rose that I could hold close to my heart. Why would I want a truck load when I have already left this world. I want to enjoy the tenderness and fragrance. now that I'm still here. A rose for me, that's all I want. A rose that tells me that you care. A rose that comes from you to me...

Premium Member Acting Out
Not a care in the world
Nothing surfaced that day
Just a vision in my head twirled
My actions left everyone with nothing to say

Pure shock with little value
Keep the change
I’m half way through
Two dozen valium

Ready to start the day
Chapter...oh who knows?
Starring myself
In this alcoholic play

Starting to wonder if I exist
Its bliss I seek but pain I find
I focus my glare to tell the difference
But it’s hard to see through this alcoholic mist...

Downhill Runpicked
Sloppy sweet sugar corn ears
Dripping buttery syrupy tears
Too hot to hold without end pins
The memories linger for years
Why did the taste of stolen corn
Always seem better at night
After filling the finger spaces of
Both hands with the black tassels
Of at least three ears each
Two dozen ears at a dead run
One can but wonder why
They use picking machines
Corn racing could well be an Olympic sport
Or at least an annual holiday event
What other harvest offers such fun...
