Autumn
Autumn

Alluring colours of autumn mesmerise,
Unfathomed beauty in orange and yellow,
Trenchant evanescence of greens,
Unfeigned emotions true up in jest,
Mollify the fiery torrid days,
Nautica furnaces red on edge of horizon !

Premium Member Enchanted Summer (Reversed Etheree)
Sunflowers imitate the sun’s bright hue;
birds take flight in sunny skies of blue.
Trenchant traces seen from the hill
view joy below, peaceful, still.
Solstice comes without sound
where peach trees abound
in summer’s blush.
Soon autumn
breezes
blow.

One Dispensation Full of Grace
One dispensation full of grace
As gothic as my savior’s face
A trenchant shadow of the things
That law and grace can only bring
Christ in sorrow tempted me
From sin to splendor’s twinkling
A romance of such perilous times
Yet time itself is not the crime
Somnolent souls my Savior guides
Through thralldom to the gospel light...

Metaphoric Tissue Paper Cuts
Obscurity's trenchant
     sorrows blotting
        tissue paper cuts,
tears aptly smeared
    in hidden fears of
        first dashed allusions,
darkly flippant metaphors
       sans passionate accolades
          left to gingerly decay,
    grandiloquently speaking,
       'Happily Ever After' is
           hardly a verbose nuance
             throughout a quinine
                         poet's collection...

God Bursts Everywhere
Impulsive to a thunderclap jumped to end of life,
Countermanded, God sent him to my rescue,

Groping to survive with cinder in my zest,
Encumbered grief to enrapture, His genial ways to
embrocate,

Trenchant, I could ideate various hues of His
cosmos,
My voyage had not reached terminus as I lionise,

Eternal he vacilitates, conceive you may or may
not,
Have felt Him aboard each time in trouble,

How true that God bursts everywhere!!...

American West in Camouflage

Two Indians* hide, in the birch forest,
and ride their pintos, hooves pitting the snow.

Conspicuous - red fox in clearing - sights
quiet stride of hide and seek…trenchant ears

at peak performance in centralized cope
         …sentient sentinel highlights canvas.

Premium Member Imperial City
The storm erupted
from a charcoal-bruised sky
lashing spindles
of platinum rain
upon an emerald heath
tossed in trenchant wind.

Among the hedgerows and linden
the first spires emerged
like shoots from turned loam
followed by the pitch
of tiled-stone roofs
and pewter walls
of lambent unblemished granite.

The damp auburn clay,
etched by a teal river,
birthed a soaring imperial city,
its cerulean patina to ever scintillate
in sun's timeless effulgence....

Dawn of Innocence
last night
i stood
searching
for a salient star
beneath
a trenchant sky
in hopes
to find
but one
brightly shining
amidst darkness
to send my wishes
adrift on

this morning
the veil
of twilight
lifted
exposing
a dawn
of ivory
innocence
aglow
with thoughts
dancing
on the breath
of december

it touched
with excitement
like a caress
of feathered
kisses
falling
from lips
of new love

i quivered
in the moment
before
blushing
beneath
somber skies...
