A Dark Anouncement
a bush swept the floor
                                     kindiling the sining sun
a treaded forest...

With broken steps
and weakened feet
she treaded cautiously
tickling the leaves
as they began to sing
a rustling hymn...

Back Is Where You Came From
Back is where you came from
Back is where you just treaded
The road you just came down
Is the road where you are headed
The choices you make along the way
The directions you choose to go
Will stay with you to the end of the day
You will reap from the garden you sow...

The Risk
Have I paved a path that’s not meant to be used? Did my utmost plea turn vile to thy ears? Still, I treaded the path towards your pleasing eyes. Now, sorrow and grief, for long, shall abide. Never did I knew that sorrow and grief has conspired.

Premium Member Sacred Grounds
I stand on the grounds once treaded by my
Ancestors
I represent countless generations gone
Before me
The soils are bathed with their tears and blood
My fore father's once once stood on these
Hallowed grounds
But their spirits urges us on to carry on the
Torch

And So It Begins
And so it begins
A new life meant for two
But now I am a traveller all alone
On a path not yet treaded.

Finding hope
Giving life new meaning
Searching a new purpose
To go on
Day after day.

Yet every time I think about you
I wonder what went wrong
For you were my universe
And I revolved around you....

I Walk
Unfathamable a path I walk
an unknown path I tread
no knowledge of the path ahead
no knowledge of what path I had tread in the past
an unknown path of the future
and no knowledge of the path I walk in the present
no surity if there even is a path
for all I know is that I shall walk
I shall walk the path treaded or untroden

Premium Member The Funeral
Rifles cracked
A bugle played
I stood in the grass
Beside your grave

My eyes were dry
I couldn’t cry
My lack of grief
Was justified

In your presence
I treaded soft
Never knowing
What’d set you off

A life free of frolic
A life melancholic
Life living with
An alcoholic

Why am I here?
Why did I bother?
Simple really
You’re still my father...

Footless Shoes
Oh footless shoes
You are left behind
Behind to tell the story of tragedies
To tell stories of pain and suffering

Oh footless shoes
You are without life
Can no longer tell of journeys you have travelled
Can no longer revisit the places you once treaded on

You mark a path of flowing sorrow
Of journey's never to be taken
The rain washes away your prints
You are no longer there...

Premium Member Opinion
We all had our opinions
There wasn’t any doubt
We all spoke in animation
Till we heard a shout
And went about in our opinionated states
To see what all the commotion was about

Our Boss was the King of Opinions
We treaded around with caution
And gave him our full attention
And mastered how to mask our confusion
We had come to a deduction
With subtle intrusion and infusion
Opinions be damned, we had it all planned
Till the next Bosses opinion was the Ultimate....

No Shaking Words
Not once did I fall,
but countless.
Words shaking,
fearing the tender,
touch of clouded mystery.
Should the mind's waters,
spill from the glass,
to whom will it fall,
the good or the bad?
The grains of my sand,
are the pieces of the void,
where my mind treaded always.
It is kept in my chest,
with a lock in my heart,
that should someone wish,
to steal my sand,
it will be futile.
I will protect,
what streams from my soul.
For, once before,
everything nearly costed,
my Soul....
