Premium Member From Toil To Rest

From toil to rest you heard the call
Farewell to changing weather
The clock lies broken; forever stalled
Now you roam in fields of heather

Double Double Toil and Trouble

Munching on spiders and nibbling on rats
Riding spiked brooms high in the air
Back in motion in the witches lair
to bring my cauldron to a boil and feed my black cat

Through Time and Toil

Through Time and Toil

Went through time while we did toil,
And cleaned earth covered with soil;
My God will meet,
In judgement seat;
We respect and rely on who is royal.

Toil and Trouble

I found a crooked dollar
and hired a crooked lawyer
to pursue a crooked case
before a judge to place,
but we found no crooked court,
however hard we sought,
but as long as we keep looking,
we'll keep the cauldron cooking.

Very Scary Toil and Tarry

Very Scary Toil and Tarry

Trump at times seems so scarry
Much more also may become very
From reality he is always far
From politics we should bar
While we work, toil and tarry.

Bed of Roses
David J Walker

You waited were
the roses grow
And I would be the Gardner

Kneeling in the deep and
Earthy scented soil
Come rain
	    Come shine
			Come time to
Bare the toil
exposed as rose the
Harvest moon

Together soon
in a feathered Bed of Roses

Pain

Troubled Tuesday tussles through the tides
Taking turns to toil terrified today
That tip talking tremendously to the task
Tabled tales, the tall trees tossed
That touch
That trip
That tears
Taken
Tolerates
Trembling talks
The transparency travels
Telling Trevor to take the task
Today tears the town

Toil

We are the voice on the wind
We are the vapor in the cloud
It is us that is a grain in the hourglass

All our chasing,
All of our fumbling
It is us with callused empty hands

We today regret
We tomorrow lose
It is our burden having forgotten simple things

Our purpose not our plan
Our happiness not our hard work
It is grace that sets us free.

Strenuous Toil

S-trenuous toil of the servant
U-ses faith, hope, and love;
N-o way will it be nonemphatic,

Toil

I’m shattered,I won’t lie,
today has been long.
I’m tired yet awake,
can’t escape the throng.
Day light has ventured
and left while I worked,
The night has arrived now,
still never I shirked.
My eyelids are heavy,
my limbs they are tired,
And still on I toil now,
my time’s not yet expired.
Grateful am I
for the work that I do.
But soon I’ll be bidding
A ‘good night’ to you.

The HEARTS Toil

Days of terror and agony,
nights of darkened ceremony.
All too often an empty soul,
most of it full of taunt.
Cursed from head to toe,
can't dip in water to sow.
Broken in all, too far,
anguished brain all the more.
Love seems forsaken,
heart dwells for sermon.
None unrevealed in moan,
nevertheless caused much pain.
Where to cater
when my shadow craves to somber?
Fainted am I, scattered,
melted and not molded.

In My Left Armpit a Big Boll

In my left armpit a big boll
That made me with anger boil…

Then, nurse began to water boil.
“Please, don’t touch it now: let it boil…”

“But not like breakfast tea I boil!”

I’d prayed fluid would spill on the soil
And had begun to like snakes coil
But her next move, I on that soil,
With the planned help of a sir Doyle
Who made steadying me his toil…

Several attempts to escape foil…

Treating a boil could a day spoil;
Two friends in arguments embroil.

A Widow’s Psalm

Swift winds,
Soft morning dew.
Smells surround me,
Sudden thoughts of you.
You left so soon,
I did not know what to do.
I close my eyes,
Bitter days gone by.
In your time, did you think of me?
Did you wonder where I could be?
One day comes,
Another day leaves.
You did not cherish all that was good,
You did not love me the way you should.
You passed from this life,
No more longing, no more strife.
Bough breaks, flowers toil.
Feet planted firm, planted firm in the soil.

Soil and Toil

There upon the ground discarded
where fruited blessings were ill guarded
lay the efforts of my spring toil
the perspired digging and setting seed in soil

Peaches and tomatoes once large and green
are cast upon the earthly tumultous scene
and now squash and peppers lay
 torn down, half eaten castaways.

Scouring the landscape garnished
I questioned what happened to my harvest?
There way in the back beneath the shed
the tell tale signs of the groundhog now well fed.
