City's Wide-Spread Fame

City's wide-spread fame.
Follow not up on, loud raved.
Time-honoured as worn
Nor whose route leads to.

Country's chance find; ah!
If lit for, less gilded! Nowhere's
Hid, humbly away scorn.
My own tone shines through.

King Tut

Young king Tut, time honoured pharaoh
In rage, deaf like the sea, with fires impatience

Boy king worshipped as a God
The daintiest last, to make the end most sweet.

Buried with skill not food for worms
But time for him grants a heavier doom
