A Devils Trick
Blind to the danger before me
Standing with the precipice beneath me
Once a captain lost at sea
Now a babe, I cannot see
The Sirens try to seduce me
The Centaur tries to conquer me
To no avail
I stand before the finish line
With clinched fists in hand
The wind is strong
The air is thick
To write all wrongs
Feels impossible
Like ones folly
Like a devils trick....
