Wild weird wonderful wily women
Ingenious, idealistic, imaginative, using ingenuity
Thoughtful, truthful, thinkers
Creative, charismatic, charming,
Heartfelt, hard-to-understand, helpful
Enthusiastic, encouraging, exciting, eager
Secretive, sensual, sexy, scary soothsayers...

Premium Member The Petals of Paranoia
She loves me? – She loves me not?
The petals pay – ripped from their stems -
tossed aside in trembling despair.
Innocents – deemed soothsayers –
victims of love’s inquisition
sacrificed on the godless altar
of insecurity’s insouciant idolatry.

Premium Member Jumping To Conclusions
A comet blazed across the evening sky Soothsayers took up Armageddon’s cry Suddenly the whole world went awry, Hordes of people thought they’d die More reasonable people gave it a try But some said science does not apply, And I, I gave up with a disgusting sigh.

Premium Member Things That Bring Me Delight
unexpected thrill of toddler child's laugh
exuberant excitement of bouncing kittens
enthusiasm of tumbling, rolling, piling puppies
multiple colors of a rainbow or a stained glass window
unicorns, healers, soothsayers, and Celtic magic
faeries, butterflies, foxes, owls, hawks, and honeybees
They all bring me delight...

Night People
Paper machinations
steam blase
A lineage of a story
gives blurry eyed account
Velvet accorance
the seats are tweed

Whilst those bewailed on newspaper lined bench's
steal sleep
Tramps in grey silhouette
chew on dead cigars

Sequenced starlets
cruise soothsayers in Marylebone
Dancers kick their manniquet stance
worship the jaws of night
turn grey in disown...

Premium Member Cosmos Woman
She is a constant in the cosmos
Unknown in a physical way
However, her presence is felt
By empaths, prophets, and soothsayers

The witches are incredibly aware
Feeling her subtle influences
She guides the winds and the seas
Nature knows her as cosmos woman

She has a spiritual glow
That dazzles the elements
They applaud her efforts
Feeling her power, admiring her strength...

the end
of the world lingers

soothsayers

forsooth

dawns keep dumping out light

despite the ever coming
the end
gets further away

it runs away
from every prediction

a million alternative ends
transform
become new beginnings

all the doomsday dealers
and all the disbelievers
look for loopholes

preppers take vacations

sometime later
it all stops

no one is left to notice

Premium Member Beginning of a Prophecy
With inscrutable imprecision and ominousness
The night faded into a Dracula’s delicious twilight
Blood moon promised never materialized
Soothsayers recognized the beginning of a prophecy

They dared not discuss it, even among themselves
Enemies lurk in trees, shadows ditches and shallow pools
During a twilight like this, it is best to cease magic
The witches were silent, lamenting in lonely corners...

A Strange Flotsam
A running sea
chokes the throat of a cave
then runs away
letting it breathe again.

Starfish light-up
under a luminescent
and radioactive surf,
then are pushed into sandbars
to dry-up and die.

Beach balls are swept ashore,
bleached fingerbones
lift them over the surf,
plastic bottles pile up
with ghost lips
still attached to them.

Soothsayers think we don't know
what's coming,
but we do....

"antics"
Surrounded by bozo's,
Accosted by hobo's,
Why won't they leave me alone?

Doomed by soothsayers,
Embezzaled by mayor's,
I practice ignoring their tone!

Evicted by slumlords,
Admitted to psych wards,
I seek to seclude my old bones!

I'm naturally leery, of those who make weary,
My intellect, while promoting their own!

The sly and rapacious,
Could stay out of my space if,
They'd leave their antics at home!...
