I Lost a Poem
I heard a poem inside my head.
But as I dozed, my poem fled.
It drifted off and I think I know,
where my poem chose to go.
Because while I slumbered in my bed,
it found a home in you instead!...

Anna Mary
There is nothing more
erotic
than a
kitten,
slumbered
on the brown,
sculpted belly
of your woman,

or

on a warm summer day,
a peach
held,
and offered,
from the long,
graceful palm
of the woman
you desire....

Fell Asleep
My art of writing
I’m trying to find
Impossible thought
It’s flying around!
Spill that ink
A sheet of paper
Are my thoughts awake?
Or sleep in the corner?
Slumbered spirit
Soon to be up
Give me some time
To write poem of mine...

Premium Member Indian Summer
Every summer, there were always places
In which we slumbered together.
I once believed it’d all be lost forever.
No matter, however, we’ll always be together.
Be it through mine poems alone,
Or when all of the people gather,
Like all of the tribes I once ever known....

Sleepy, Tired, Hungry, Thirsty
Drown me deep in Seas of Sleep,
And never would I want to wake
To Lies of Life that make me weep
(By slumbered Dreams of me as Sheep)
I hunger for a "normal" life,
Weary for a willing "Wife",
And though I thirst, drink very worst-
The Darkened Days just filled with Strife!...

Winsome
Wake me not for here I slumbered
Intent to dream on days I have not numbered
Natural to the logic of sinister time
Shame it was, the way you meandered
Over my heart like callous pebbles. Slime
Me with frivolous perceptions, and I slandered,
Emasculated, forgive you still for being blind....

Bards Thoughts
Slept and slumbered under the quinine stains we wept, On a poignant bard’s weary nib we slept. Yearned we to spill on to paper, Him caged sore thoughts for later. Weeping words we lay folded, On table, heart moulded. Sorrowed dirge lament,We repent,..................dissent

Premium Member Abstract From a Dream Macabre
My imagination ran shamelessly amok last night
While I slumbered in beaded sweat, askance that I would
Be peddling ornate coffins to the absurdly rich, then
Second handing them to poorer souls for paltry profit.

Dearest ,darling,beloved child,
so innocent,so meek and mild,
I in wonder,remain beguiled.

Precious,perfect in miniature,

a unique human exists in such quiet repose,

Mama and the Goodbye Man
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK
THE DOOR ALMOST FELL DOWN

MY mama went with the
goodbye man ALL HER CHILDREN
slumbered
close a hand

he wouldn't
think of
leaving
her
behind

we awakened
and found
that mama
had gone

a smile was
all she
left behind

she had gone ...
she went with
the goodbye

Spring
Winters tears fall fallow on the sleeping
Soft emotion into dormant hearts creeping
Thoughts to awaken, needs forgotten too long
Reach for the unknown want, new and strong

Push forth from cold dark slumbered sleep
The dawn of wonder, a promise made to keep
Our lives forsaken in winters gathering sweep
In joy emerge, to the sun we kneel and weep...

Premium Member Trusting the Tree and Gaia
They trusted the tree, so they tunneled beneath her.
Knowing she would keep them safe during the winter.
The bear made his nest first, then the fox.
Lamb followed her mistress, loving her reading voice.

Gaia kept them warm, nurturing them.
The book reader had to come up for food.
As did the fox.
However, the bear slumbered on, listening to the story....

Beholden
Each milestone sees him as evenings enfold
Where crystals touch his soul with chilling cold,
A lantern shines through his painted face
While his robe waves upon a steady pace,
Until he comes to an old trove without doors
Which felt welcoming like glown summer shores,
And he slumbered on grass greener than mould
Through the moon's shaft, he watched God's eyes, behold....

Love Is Evolution
on the night that i was born a storm formed while the sun slept...
my mother left me scorned in her womb as the moon wept...
darkness filled the room as i emerged from my cocoon fresh....
i rumbled heavens floors as a roar replaced my first breath...
Thunder made me humble as i slumbered in my vortex...
Dangers in abundence when the beast is at your door step......

Peace In Purgatory
O the eternal bliss of peace!
Like a traitor to the cause of humanity,
you did not receive the impression of my dream
in peace, congealing into flesh, the enumeration of
my nightmare, giving evidence against your soul.
But, notwithstanding, have no delay;
you may yet effectuate this business of peace every day.
You may have slumbered here,
but the vision did not disappear....

Remembering (scars and how you got them) By: Miracle Man 1-8-2020 Man cannot see what lies in store, So ore past days, in thought, we pore. We relive things as eyes grow dim, Now fraught by pain and frail of limb. The things once done in work or play, Now lie slumbered in a previous day. We resurrect occurrences only in thought, And tally scars that were unsought.

Premium Member Angelic Inspiration
The inexperienced poet created a pittance of an outline
Nothing mammoth, but it was a beginning
Her inspiring angel ran with it
Giving her fantastical ideas while she slumbered
Unfortunately none were retained upon her awakening
No worries the I.A. thought. There are million ideas from whence they came.
God smiled at her tenacious optimism.
Glad the supervising angel had assigned her to that particular poet....

Premium Member Pristine White Morning
In the predawn quiet,
imagine my surprise
when a sparkling wonder
greets my sleepy eyes.

As I slumbered, Frosty
opened wide to blow
and sent a special gift.
I totally missed the show.

A shining cloak blankets
the earth, pristine white.
Snow steals down in darkness,
unveils in morning light,

Glistening in the sunshine
and sheltering underneath,
many guests of summer, now
wrapped in Nature's sheath....
