A distressed soul

Silence In the Din
I am but a living corpse,
Emaciated and flogged horse.

See no light at the end of the tunnel,
Seek poetry as a channel to funnel.

Slogging all my life for everyone but me,
Such a painful responsibility you see.

Lady luck even refuses to give an appointment,

the rock star intellectuals —
finding life a gas, smoking pot,
erupting all the free liquor,
devilish fame as a bot.

smashing guitars by the dozens,
oozing blood, alcohol and sweat.
impress daughters with their wild haze,
vocal chords slogging through their set.

a plane crash demolished their dreams
— the flash stars reap a reality.
the vibe’s dead there's no second chance
for trio erased from marquee.
