Seattle

There once was an old man from Seattle
Who had it in his thoughts to skedaddle
But booking trips his mind they would rattle
He took plane
Landed in Spain
When he wanted to go to Newcastle.

Downtowns Deflowered

Condemnation, confrontation
  Nasty, no-compromise nation

Protestors plentiful, a passel irruptive
  Ornery out-of-towners, so disruptive

Downtowns deflowered in
  Portland Chicago, Seattle
Lawless looters ~
  Time to skedaddle

Absent-Minded Hank

Thar was once an old buckaroo named Hank,

Who was very absent-minded and lank.

He told his hoss to skedaddle,

         Fergittin' to mount the saddle.

'Twas not the first time old Hank drew a blank!

Stuck Together

Stuck Together

I often told tales as well as tattle
So thought that I should skedaddle
Lying is like sandwich with peanut butter
Which became a disaster which is utter

Peanut butter was pretty sticky
And you know me being so picky
Seems so many storms had to weather
When both of her lips were stuck together.

two happy phat cats

Two happy phat cats roll around in the meadow
Gathering pollen and dust, and asking “so?”
Their temperaments placid, their eyes all aglow.
Watch them skedaddle when machine comes to mow

They wag their tails in the happiest friskiest way.
We watch them until they are out of sight end of Tuesday.
Loving their confidence, their moves and sashay.
Two happy phat cats, loving themselves every day.

Duchess Has Den Lind's Empathetic Yen

Duchess has Den, Lind's Empathetic Yen
Laughing with Casey gave "rise" to a fall,
Giving "urgery" to surgery,
We pray the setback is soon annul!
Sometimes when mishaps occur,
Causes appreciation in full,
When things stop working,
Face the horns of the bull,
Carpe Diem! Step back & reflect,
Refute descent, resaddle!
Read, think, thank, pray, sing,
May the Big One bless you ->"Troubles Skedaddle!"

Disorderly Conduct

Dear Karen, there’s something I need:
I’ve got you a poem to read.

A deficit in one’s attention
is probably best left unmentioned.

If boring writes get you distracted,
my outcome’s adversely impacted.

For when the dear reader is addled,
strong placements just up and skedaddle.

Before you’ve a chance to retort,
just know that I’m keeping it short.

Disorder escapes its confines
perusing these final two lines!

Armadillo, Peccadillo

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
armored, slow, but
sneaky fellow
when confronted,
rather yellow
some say, very
cute!

Armadillo
peccadillo,
leprosy and
such diseases
not aggressive,
somewhat mellow
he's a nasty
brute!

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
please stay in the
open fields, not
tearing up my
daffodils and
nibbling to the
root!

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
please return to
Amarillo,
and even though
you travel slow,
now skedaddle,
scoot!
