Taste the water flows;
Everywhere you go;
And just for you to know;

Siberian tiger larger than you suspect
Ten foot long from fat tail to fatter neck
Weighing six hundred and sixty pounds, bigger than four human beings
Here is one now, which is why I am not tee-heeing....

white of the birch winter
the cold seeps into old bones

stare cold
only to those
who have not met
her heart

Siberian dreams
my white russian melts
in winters wind
confessions I give
red lips
made me sin

Who said
Siberian hills
Are cold
And frozen?
Who saw a fire
So white
In a Siberian eyes
And green breast
So lighting and warm?
A land
For compassion
A shining crystal
That melts
To deliver a whisper
And a hushed water
Of life....

Premium Member Trans-Siberian Orchestra
I am listening to some wonderful music this season. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the reason. The sounds they produce are a sensation. Combining modern sounds with classic is a fascination. Such glorious Christmas music is what they play. They have me in the spirit for the holiday.

Premium Member Ice On My Igloo
Ice on my igloo
  roads frosted over
Cursed, cutting cadaverous cold
  deathly chill from Calais to Dover

Thought it was nippy
  but my fingers are numb
Arctic algidity all around
  winds whistle, envelop my town

Why must we endure
  gelid, glacial Siberian air
Is warmth only comprehended
  when to harrowing cold it's compared...

Dissolute Monk
I am like a Siberian tiger
Creeping through taigas
Looking for great power

A letter arrived one evening
Praising my hypnotic gaze
And you craving a carnal touch

I arrived with a prophecy
My magic cured Tsarina’s son
And led me up to autocracy

You can shoot me, poison me
But I will rise again, you will see
The evil protects me eternally...

Korean Winter Blues
Korean Winter Blues

Korean Winter Blues

Korean winters
Are shorter than before
Impact of climate change

Can get very cold
As Siberian winds
Blow in from Russia

Putting the whole country
Under a deep freeze
Polar vortex

It does not snow
Too much
Except in the mountains
The coldest day
I ever experienced
Was in Korea
Back in 1979

The AFKN radio announcer
Said it was minus 70
That morning.

Premium Member Facing a Siberian Tiger
Siberian tiger, striped, brave and strong
She covered my entire car, ten feet long
Six hundred and sixty pounds turned and stared me down
I ran until I reached the edge of the very next large town

You were never in danger, a voice said in my head.
He’s just a big pussy, a pet of your weird old neighbor Ned.
But part of me knew better, and was glad I had been spared.
For neighbors like this odd duck man, I have truly never cared....

Sam Sends Smileys-Tautogram
Sam sends smileys,
Sheila seeks sobriety;
Siberian skies shed sadness!
Seven Swallowtails swirl,
sunset sets scenic shades:
scintillating, stunning,
stimulating, sparkling!

Sordid sentiment stays sentient,
safeguarding searing sailing ships;
sailors sit still sipping scotch,
soaring seagulls start shrilling:
somber, sorrowful symphony!

Sordid sea swerves ship,
storm stirs subdued senses;
Simon strums strings...
sober Samuel sings!...
