Hizbiz

Shut away from the world
Hizbiz found a ghost curl'd
In his breakfast plate
This might be a bait
"An enticement", he snarled

Her Voice Resonates

Her voice resonates
Strongly in my delighted ear;
My soul smiles -
As if she'd not died years ago
And been shut away in a wall ...

Growth

Looking back on the past.
Delete ..................... Keep.
These things remind me of who I was.
The person shut away.
~The pearl of the clam.
~~Diamond in the rough.
~~~ Too vulnerable.
Regret
How could this happen to me...
I made a mistake
I tried to have that which did not belong to me
I shut away the voice that spoke from within
A life that is lived in darkness would soon be brought to light
Shame stood before me
I was overwhelmed with misery
I searched for a way out
There it was
The voice that spoke to me once before...
Emotions
Emotions up and down,
spinning out of control,
light headedness,
fuzziness,
all of a dither,
my mind can't deliver,
such emotive thoughts.
Try to shut away in a box in my head,
they are not in charge of me,
I am in charge of them,
keeping busy is the answer,
for a mediocre happy ever after,
pretty thoughts of a life after,
but for now, living for the day I can live the life i'm after.
Blind
Today I was standing
Alone in the street
Staring at a fence,
Through which I could not see.
And I wondered what was behind
That tall fence across the street
And why it was shut away
Like a secret in a diary
Or a prisoner in a cell.
For a moment I thought I saw
Movement through the slats,
A pair of eyes staring back at me.
But then they were gone,
And I was alone in the street,
Left to wonder
What I could not see.
Outcast
Unfriendly hands
thrusting...pushing me
out the door
of "a perfect world".
Rejected.
"You should be with your own kind".
"You have no place here".
"WE DO NOT WANT CRIPPLES".
Cripple.
A label given by people living in a sterile world.
They cannot let us mar
their snow white creation.
So conveniently they forget-
(shut away, we cannot bother them).
My soul cries to be released but
I am silent.
For I know
it would do no good.
By a Spring Fire
By a Spring Fire There is a place Where boughs of singing birds are swaying; Little colts with wobbly legs are playing; And bluebonnets and paintbrushes grow. Once my love and I rode horses, o’er Rolling hills like rough golf courses. So long, long ago. Now you are gone and I grow old; Shut away from days of gold; And the evening memories glow, In the fire of early Spring’s cold.
Murmur
O' save us will you?
Will you save us?
forlorn,forgotten children
anarchy sinners,
those who grin at the broken, the dying
O' save us will you?
Will you save us?
Us who lust for fires that damage
Us who lust for fragmented existences
Jagged,jaded,bloodied, and your reflections
O' save your mirrored dark, your damp,violent secrets
Violently shut away your crazy hearts and drug your night
Drug the ones you can't save and send it all away
David
sit alone
thinking back on the past few months
all the people touching upon a soul
all wanting to help
guide
but one asks for guidance
someone to stand by through this journey
end coming too soon
life already being cut short
there he lies
shut away in a box
no one can see
no one else knows what he thought
how he wished to be remembered
his uncertainty hidden from them
help me and I'll help you
know these truths
it is my gift
one they'll never know
To Resonate
To open up, to once again take a breath,
To let go, to be saved from infinite death.
This, the Lord has done for me.
To shut away the influence of the earth,
To grasp on to His Word and its worth.
This must be done to truly see.
To break down, to invite the Lord within,
To open one's mind, new life to begin.
This, I long for in thee.
To show the light, to escape their endless night,
To be the change, for the blind be sight.
This is the power of the Lord in me.
