Sunrise & Sunset

At each sunrise God places his stamp
Upon another glorious day;
God calls those found in Satan’s camp
Who have stumbled in the way?
God showcases each day his handiwork
While our goings he does induce.
But within each day if things we shirk
God weeps at sunset o’er its use.
A humorku is a short rhyming poem, less than 14 lines, that showcases human efforts at thinking. Thinking has many types and stimuli, including the Big Lie. Without much ado, here is my HUMORKU:
If white is supreme, why do humans (who prefer cream)
mix chocolate in white milk? (even if only in a dream)
Because brown has body - that will make milk scream

Brrrrr! its cacaca Cold

This wintery night,
Showcases a snowy, horizontal curtain,
Impelled by a frigid northwest wind;
Trees long thought asleep,
Awaken under the snows weighting.
But by sunrise, hush has arrived,
Leaving the snow’s appearance soft,
Like delicate frosting on a cake;
But still ccccold!
A task is seldom too difficult
For a properly prepared mind;
Tom
We cling to what's fallen
in the lay of layers.
Leaves yield to the wind,
drifting down when time's up.
Pages of books flip over to
pile up as what's been read.
Days ripped from calendars
records the passage of time spent.
Musical notes strike the melodies for
verses on the score.
Words land on pages to craft our
letters, works and poems.
The lay of what we leave behind
in layers, showcases a life well spent
in the lay of leaves.
Earth
that turns on itself
being turned inside and out
has focus and shows itself
in luxury and amenities
like in big cities!
Big cities are showcases
they turn and show themselves night and day:
London displays its fog,
Paris its light,
Madrid Moorish beauty
Rio naked architecture...
Shanghai mysterious aura
New York melting pot
Moscow intriguing way
Our world turns being
only a particle of the
general movement of the Cosmos...!
Shame, blame, love, longing in the air,
they mix play tricks on me it’s not fair;
Pulling my mind when it’s time to chill,
this juggling act is sometimes overkill;
Throwing faster than to a slow crawl
just then here come’s another ball;
Broad balancing display showcases
a new routine where moods trade places;
I’m spinning inside but still I stand
sifting through words til I find my brand;
An enduring game of toss and catch,
old feelings leave behind a new batch.
