Premium Member Let's Talk Turtle
Brave little turtle,
Crossing the road.
Dodging traffic,
Shelling the load.

Slow and steady,
Forever hunched.
Always praying,
Never crunched.

The price of life,
Yes, you've paid it.
Now safe across,
Hurray! You made it....

Violence
VIOLENCE

Eye wrinkle it began
To begat disparage
And yet Tysoning
Shoot again begotten

Hemorrhage is brings
Shelling and uphill
We export oil
Yet importing mortars

Listen to the melancholy
Of motherless mothers
That of fatherless children
And of groaning men

If we must mêlée
Let’s fight for peace...

Shelling of Shoals
<>SHELLING OF SHOALS

oval souls
bleached out pearls
shelled stone hearts
obscured cryptic
undercurrents
seaslime backslides
enticing
Mermaids vice

whiteskull prey lays
shelved on shoals
seaweed eaten
greentail beaten
tidalpools black
sailor coldhole
burial ground

Tubes
Anything in life a pioneer like Adam to men,
Tooth paste the pioneer for all kinds of pastes,
In the gene of paste, gel came in no time waste,
Paste came in sweet tubes to add sweetness to teeth,
Then came tubes shelling pastes toe to nail of all feet,
Pastes and gel to all ages any where now ever ready,
Shelling all souls like tubes all men and women body!...

Shells of Alamein Lest We Forget War
Lest we forget

When the Shelling
And the Din of gunfire
Finally stopped

His mind was shot
A hollow broken shell
Stood

Crooked in the corner of some foreign land
Every boy and man befell unto
Inspite of class or rank
Come 1,
Come all
To walk the plank

Into no mans land
Gods hands

As the marching band grew silenced
Drowned out by the violence

Of brethren slain,
Into the Dunes of Alamein...

Africa In the News
Africa In The News

Tanks hugging the
Unwilling ground,
Minute ants poke their treads.
As blackened trees still smoke
From the heavy rebel shelling.
A faceless child lays in a
Lake of blood,
Its toothless mother tries
To bite into a tree trunk
Just to get the last sap.
The filthy hands of other children
Weild machetes.

A colourless camera man incessantly clicks
For his modern world to see.

Wonder
WONDER.

I wonder if there
Is much pain
In annihilation
Across the precipice
Where you learnt to walk.

I wonder if there is
A force installed in fate
Shelling works of your hands
Predisposed for destructions.

I wonder how one feels
Being worshipped
A statue on pedestal
Installed by
The hoarded humanity.

I wonder that if
End of the day
Consumed
In twilight
Finding some
Doorways
Or certain Formations
Leading to
Lesser suffocations....

Childhood Memories
Home fried chicken, smelling up the whole house
The squeak of a tiny gray baby church mouse
The summer rain smelling up the warm breeze
The sight of my Granny always shelling peas
The twinkling of the stars in the sky above
A sunshine day full of pure and free love
Lightning bugs buzzing all around my head
Butterflies floating amid the pink rose bed
The sweet sugary taste of a juicy gum ball
The sound of my grandfathers southern drawl...

Chipmunk
My coat streaked in shades of brown
My home borrowed in the ground

Cheeks full with summers plunder
Winter is coming will there be enough I wonder

Nuts and seed are enough to please
For these I gather with expertise

Shucking and shelling to reveal my foils
Carefully tucking them away so not a one spoils

They say I'm a mammal small in size
I say please don't chastise

For that little debility
I make for with speed and agility

For I am Chipmunk
Not some little punk...
