Just Imagine

Has anyone
ever imagined
the pigeons
call and answer
at dusk
as like orchestrating
God's Holy Rosary
before the flock
retires for the night.

Don'T Believe Everything They Say

Don't believe everything man says,
          In what man sees...
          When the lights went out...
          Or during the War...
Or searching pro bono love ...
           Rosary of lies... !

For My Grandmother Catherine

Twenty-five years
of saying the Rosary

Twenty-five years
a promise to keep

A last dying wish
her beads in my hand

Not one day I’ve missed
— or one restless sleep

Rickets

The square head and bossing frontals,
The flat occiput and prominent parietals,
Open fontanellae and sweating fore head,
Present on the chest rosary beaded.
The lower chest sulcussed and sternum depressed,
The legs are bowed and the tummy protruded.

Rosary By Ray

Once there was a man called Mathew Ray
Seems to commune with nature with no gay
Reciting the rosary reverse
To save the laws of universe
Bloody would anyone for such cause spoil a day!

A holy man in a hospital bed
Preciously wrapped,
Like a mystic infant
Radiant, beautifully sculpted
against white sheets.

You're dying you say.
Your voice a lamp,
Another lesson strung
on a rosary of sacred moons,
to be held in prayer,
while darkness swaddles you.

Their Rosary Prayers

She willed in tempered frosts
    that hidden,
        without consternation
the pew should call his name
Pale pink shadow,
   of hushed cheek

Knowing her rose in origin,
     and passages through,
a shameful pride began his edifice,
as her joys sculpted his rituals

The Summer of Love

Giggling from the corner of, her bedroom...
Gleam her eyes bare her breast tightly she grips
Sister Maria's rosary, tearing the buttons from her convents
White cotton dress virgins gazing at their beauty; twine reflections..
Sipping rose wine as she turns about to offer, her heart shaped glass.

City of New Orleans

The Divine light of the candles remind me
Of a great church in the city of New Orleans
Where the Rosary is kissed
And to be of true faith- One is a Holy Catholic

Praying verily to the Holy Mother Mary
Light a candle to St. Peter
Where the gates of Heaven are sure to open-
The Afterlife certain to be Sweeter.

Prayer On a Thursday Morning

Apple seed rosary
Given by grandpa
When I was
So young...

Thursday Morning
Sitting in the
Sunnyvale bus to work.
Luminous Mysteries.

Wooden Cross,
Love crucified .
Blood drops of
Wine from Cana.

White Dove
Flying ...
Just above the
Nails on his leg.

Thousands of
Blackbirds
Flying away
From the Dove.

By Heaven's Way

When I knelt and prayed
And as I bowed my head
I noticed my blue rosary
At the head of my single bed.

Each decade was said with love
Just the night before
And upon each completion
I wanted to say it all the more.

I quite often think of Her
The Mother of us all
She is just by Heaven's way
I only have to call.

Offer roses for any needs-- bloomed rosebuds from prayed rosary beads.
A poor holy soul reposes-- from our Little Crown of Roses.
We must pray a whole rose garden, to help sinners' hearts not harden!
And keep in our hearts the pure priest, with white roses of prayer increased.
Plus don't forget the Chaplet too, and Consecration prayers renew...
