Amy Green Poet Rhyme

City of New Orleans

The Divine light of the candles remind me
Of a great church in the city of New Orleans
Where the Rosary is kissed
And to be of true faith- One is a Holy Catholic

Praying verily to the Holy Mother Mary
Light a candle to St. Peter
Where the gates of Heaven are sure to open-
The Afterlife certain to be Sweeter.

Travis Tapley April 29, 2010 at 7:00 AM The title got my attention and I was not disappointed in reading this great poem. I lived there for 17 years and it is a world all of its own. I miss it sometimes, but glad to be back amongst family and friends. You are so right with this one it is a huge Catholic town. Your last line said it all.
