Autumn

Orange color sky
The sunset in the evening
The air, cool and calm
Autumn is finally here

Strawberries

The softness of your lips
like the sweet taste of strawberries

The first kiss you gave me years ago
still makes me shake and quiver

Whenever I eat strawberries
your kiss is what I remember

Every Sunday

Always on a Sunday since the day we met It's been twenty long years a love we can't forget Always on a Sunday your presence ever near We still feel each other's love after twenty long years Always on a Sunday many years ago We sitll feel the warmth after twenty long years Always on a Sunday we lay awake at night Holding each other after twenty long years

Robbie's Cherished Love

The person Robbie cherished more than life
was Rosalyn, his friend and then his wife;
but as he worked she dated other men -
including Stephen, Richard, John and Ken.
So Robbie left and found another love,
but got so jumpy and suspicious of
the guys she knew at work, and thought that she
would leave him too. He's now on number three...

Still Standing

I've been beat up
I've been knocked down
No matter what happens
I'm still standing on
solid ground

I've been passed over
I've been stepped on
No matter what happens
I still have faith
I continue to stand tall
and strong

I've been lifted up
only to let down
No matter what happens
I don't stand alone

Jesus is standing with me
I see His footprints next to mine
He is the reason why
I'm still standing
strong and proud

A Prayer For Others

I had a talk with GOD today
I asked HIM to help those who
are lost and can't find their way

I asked HIM to give strength to
those who are weak
and continue to bless those who are
strong for HIS convenant they keep

I will always pray for others
They are all my spiritual sisters
and brothers

In the name of The Father, The Son
and The Holy Spirit
Let not my words of prayer
fall on deaf ears

My Unique Line

"One of the best plans for life is not a plan to succeed, but a plan to strengthen one's weaknesses to prevent failure."

Rosalyn M. Lampkin

The reason why I think this line is unique:
People have a tendency to set high goals for themselves without realizing the potential negative consequences if they don't acheive the goal they set. If they focus on the weak areas, the plan to succeed will be achieved.

Ode To a Poet

I wrote this because I am my worst critic. I'm learning how not to critize what I write.

You are a Poet, indeed you are
The words you write
Resonates deep within so many hearts

The way you pen your words
Is masterfully crafted
Poetry in motion
Full of joy and laughter

Whether you write complete stanzas
Or only a few lines
You take your reader on the same journey
You created in your mind

You have talent and you are skilled
You are the poet
The world needs to hear
