   Charming flowers, enchanting flowers
   delighted but how splendid, lovely
lovely the flower woman poem, rose ...

Rosa Canina

She has coughed red
aortic blooms on kitchen towels.

The blood has a black sheen,
a puddle full of storm-clouds.

I tug the fur around her throat
until she forgets.

Remembering Rosa Parks

So graceful and kind
So honest and true
While she sat down for me
She stood up for you
Only by refusing to move
When ordered to
She paid the price
And satisfied our dues.

Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks
Would have been a hundred
Were she alive today
Human beings of any colour
would gladly let her sit
Anywhere on the bus
With the possible exception
Of the driver's seat

Rosa Parks

Sometimes monumental events
Have humble beginnings
Like the unyielding courage
Of Rosa Parks
Refusing to give up her seat.

Rosa took a stand
by taking a seat :)
making a strong point
with dignity sweet :D

[I read her autobiography for Black History Month; always admired her, but a big fan of her now!]

Lua Rosa

Lua Rosa

A primeira
segunda
desponta,
traz a
Lua Rosa,
símbolo
de renascer,
com pouco
ou muito,
o coração,
com a Lua Rosa
pascal,
mais do que
um símbolo,
é a hora
de florescer,
de fazer
com pouco
muito
mais e mais

Lavanda Rosa

Lavanda Rosa

Nas noites
de lua rosa,
a lavanda
transmite
paz e serenidade,
acalmando
nossa ansiedade.

Que em
cada dia
de abril,
a doce
fragrância
sutil,
levem
uma
nova energia
para fazer com
menos,
mais e mais.

Dona Dalva,
é Rosa,
é mulher de valor,
seu espírito
é uma canção
de amor.

Dona Dalva,
seu sorriso
é uma flor,
com perfume
de bondade,
e carinho doador,
és a Rosa dos Ventos,
a dar cor
e movimentos
nas vidas que toca.

Mouth watering as ambrosia,
your sumptuous lips are robust;
Sitting here wrapped on the sofa,
mouth watering as ambrosia;
You whisper ‘Bonita rosa…’
it’s a game of passion and trust;
Mouth watering as ambrosia,
your sumptuous lips are robust.

Brilho Da Lua Rosa

Brilho da Lua Rosa

Com o brilho
da Lua Rosa
renovação
com força,
a chegar,
mesmo
com pouco,
o coração
é cheio
de esperança
no mês
sagrado,
com pouco
ou muito,
os sonhos voam
com força e fé,
caminhamos
para fazer
mais e mais

Fran,
hoje é
a primeira
segunda;
com a
lua rosa
no céu
como guia,
e a crença
em que
pequenas
coisas
fazem a diferença;
com dedicação
e perseverança,
seguimos a
transformar
sonhos
em realidade
e fazer com menos
muito
mais e mais.

Stubborn refusal by Rosa Parks
to up from her bus seat set off sparks...

that ignited flames of Civil Rights movement.
     'Twas a legendary, watershed moment!

You Are My Moon

When I go to sleep your the last thing I look at
When I wake up i'm still dreaming about you
Your name is the first thing I think of in the morning when I wake up
Your eyes are the only ones I want to see for the rest of my life
Your hands are the only one I want to hold forever
I'll always be your star and you'll forever be my moon

Rosa

A beautiful flower bears your name
ever-blooming as a gift of love with
Red, red petals and green, green leaves
On a long single stem with heavenly fragrance
Surrounded by the new baby's breath and
Embraced by water in a vase with a ribbon
from heart to heart throughout the world-
this graceful blossom forever yields your fame.

Striking fists ready to rumble & take defense
spiking soup with ginger makes more sense
beets ruby & golden broth brews perka pink
defeats all hatred, unlike you, lento is my ink

Brain waves flow against pessimistic energies
flames grave slow sink in my ocean’s synergies
[sigh] I’m not like you, I embrace what’s different
I let your unordinary mind unfold, until it isn’t

Velour petals of ruby red scent of perfume upon the air; visions swim inside my head a cascading vine of roses fair. Imbued with grace of angels defense against wilder strangers; Blossom of heaven’s honey-dew smoother than the finest fondue. A plethora of colors bold live within La Rosas fold; breath of ambrosia, heaven sent frees the path to contentment.
