Keep Aglow

C-elebrating your birth
H-as opened the day with light;
R-ise of the beacon Thursday
I-s wonderful in
S-ight.

A-fter the twilight is gone,
S-hining dawn denies the sorrow;
A-n early morn twelfth January
D-rives itself to keep
A-glow.

Shadows of the Morrows

men & women
looking at the hills
seas, mounts, vales
green forests of city-lines
& the blue rives & dives -
are these the treasures
of crocodile shells
everywhere
life looks like smooth shadows
in a mirror of morrows
mauled in today's kisses
or some tiny egg-shells
smashed in hasty disgust
of the disjointed hours.

Everlasting Ecstasy

E-verlasting ecstasy
D-rives the sadness away;
N-ight so lonely is gone,
A-fter the break of day.

P-erfect and pure pleasure
I-s brought to your birth;
N-ice and joyful feeling
E-nlarges the size of mirth.
D-ay fifteen in sunny June, rapture makes you happy;
A-bout to stay for long is the everlasting ecstasy.

Be Easy For a While

N-ew dawn is now breaking,
E-vening shadows pass from view;
R-ain stops from falling
R-ays from above return to
Y-ou.

R-ise of the sun has begun
O-n early March twenty-four;
S-hining lights in the sky
E-xpress joy like never before.
N-othing else but laughter
D-rives everyone to smile;
O-ne moment of pure fun lets life be easy for a while.

Premium Member what two rives are the longest in the world

When I asked the fifth grade students to guess
What two rivers are the longest in the world
I was not surprised with Missouri and Mississippi.
Many are not global thinkers.
Most had not heard of the Nile or the Amazon.

Both of these are over four thousand miles long.
Where the Amazon ends is uncertain.
But they are within fifty miles of being equal lengths.
I cannot imagine seeing either, can you?

Excavator V Escalator

Excavator V Escalator

Escalator, to the Top it puts
Excavator rives and ruts;
and it effectively undercuts!

One is a symbol of Mirth
Another; symbol of wrath
and destruction of Earth!

Escalator is a symbol or Fort
Paradigm of Human effort
the other; of bloody sport!

But most, Irony of this Writ
is that one is pretty neat
While another is full if ****!

So, in Life be a Detector
of which is the Escalator
and which is an Excavator!
