Lord, dear heavenly father
relieve me whenever possible
from wickedness of the righteous
and the goodness of maleficent
Pain is much too personal for verse,
Don’t curse
The reader with your anger-anguished words.
Rhyme flowers, sun and birds.
Falling leaves
announce colors
pronounce change
demand sweaters
shelter
hot tea
stories
available upon request
Human skeleton
shriveled body, blackened lungs
just yesterday, young...
Pleading, his final request
gasping: One last cigarette
This is neither poetry, nor art,
It is not an ending or a start,
but in all sincerity, says I,
"May I have a slice of apple pie?"
In this poem-request, I hope I don't sound overly pushy or snotty :-)
But I pray more Depends can be donated so old people can go potty!
To set down our phones,
constant companions,
and gaze up at the tree
to watch the robins feed their chicks —
such an exotic request.
My last request when I am to die one day:
tell those that loved me
I love them too
Dear Soupers,
tragidty has struck; could you please pray for both my father and my beloved sister.
yours sincerely. John H Loving III

Dear God:
I have simple request
From you financially
I hope you'll grant this
Lord, I don't need money
Just give me a job to earn it.
In finest suit
On bended knee
I once asked you
To marry me.
You said no-
That was our end,
So why should I be
Your facebook friend?
Who knows, but before twas given
Twas answered, your prayer's request.
Placed within them, on whom foresees
The end of all troubles, rest.
One question and request
the form of poems that i write
are never known by me
if you could comment on the form
I'd learn from you to me
Trump asked his trusty Ouija Board,
"When will I get the Peace award?"
The spirits replied,
"Your request denied!
A virus is your just reward!"
The man made a simple request
For lunch to be place on his desk
When it wasn’t done
He snatched someone else’s bun
Then ends up in one hot mess
Today, I do hope to acquire
A reply from the girl I admire
For I soon will request
To be ever so blessed
With her love, that to gain, I aspire
As dawn is the eye's
of his delight,
I'd cast the moon
to stars tonight;
for he is light
of day to me,
the life of knowing
what shall be.

Malda for Milda
("Malda" means "pray" in Lithuanian, according to Google translator;
Milda is a character in "Words on Fire" by Jennifer A. Nielsen)
Please say a prayer,
for my family today,
we are facing,
a storm of grey.
Many of you,
who know my sorrow,
keep giving me hope,
for each new tomorrow.
This is my prayer:
a request for proof;
evidence to show
there is a truth;
that all conditions
are worth surviving;
that each failure
was worth trying.
J-ust pray to the Lord,
E-ntreat God for the blessings,
E-ach and every day.
