meandering
along the hinterland
relentlessly I search
for innocent love
in the remoteness
of unspoilt territory…
a hopeless romantic
making inroads into
inaccessibility

Find Me At Six---Beyond
Find me NOT kindling a low bonfire
as a single toll begins the night---
in every remoteness, each glee
you come offering ash-coal pebbles

how can seasons return; I’m alone ---
beyond, if you reach out -- yes find me

The Road That Leads To You
Highways may run into remoteness
Wind may blow into an alien land
Rivers may meander through unexplored sand
Birds may the greener hills chase
But dear, I know my route,
The avenue that I walk, though

The road that leads to just there
Where mystic hearts sing anew
Of life, hope and love to share
It's the road that leads to only you....

Its regal grace reaches beyond
Its small cultivated confines.
Its blood-red petals capture
Sensuous eyes of passerby's;
Thoughts of love materialize
And some are stricken teary-eyed
By measured memories of love.
Then there are those aesthetic hearts
Who are dazzled by its beauty.
As for me, I assume that rose:
The empathy I have for it
I become its flowery soul....

Dunes
Our feet sank in the sand as we
Went walking through the dunes.
I haven't hiked on land like that
In many many moons.

Then suddenly we turned a bend
And there within our reach
Was something most surprising -
An amazing empty beach!

The waves were gentle and the water
Froze the few brave waders.
Remoteness kept it free of
Hordes of tourist-type invaders.

While heading back (reluctantly)
I found my souvenir -
Some tiny brightly-circled shells,
To keep the magic near....
