Since Jay decided to be a poster child
He’s reined in his tendency to go wild
   He’s quiet as a mouse
   Dead silence in the house
To laryngitis for aye reconciled...

Young Apathy
Deep scent of ennui
touches the young
who refuse to see
the beauty around them.
Time reined in the Muses,
put out the flame of the bards,
and extinguished awe of science....

Horseless Carriage

We have reined the mind
“blindered” sight
hobbled with restraints
a voiceless choir
led the thirst-less
to un-quenching waters
muted the joyous roar
of truth’s waterfall

HORSE

Hell-bent stallion muscles led the mustangs through the plain,

On their heels rode hard a hired man –his job to rope the best--

Rearing high the stallion—urging speed as autumn winds dance thru his mane.

Sheets of lighting limned silhouettes as they pounded toward the west--

Enchanted now the man reined in—this day let beauty rule his breast....

I'Ll Die To Be With You My Love
My heart sinks as I realize,
That what I hear are the cries,
Of my beloved hero.

Tortured beyond tolerant,
His cries echo as they went,
Of my beloved hero.

Silence follows as the last hit came,
My limbs and heart went lame,
The love that we shared,
My mother didn't care,

My father put it to shame,
And silence reined as my last breath came.
And now I'm with my beloved hero,
One plus one equals zero....

Conditioned by society, we fell
into a bottomless pit of desire,
mirrored by fear, gripping us in its spell.
Unable to escape raging fires,
we laid ego to rest, in its own pyre!
Now, centred in the void, we are at peace,
standing erect, with no one to appease,
having reined in our fickle attention,
thus erasing lower mind, piece by piece,
mindful stillness, our orientation.

Loss Fills the Plate Where Once, Tomorrow Reined
A great despair...
Heavy and burdensome..
Hangs like wet wool, covering the motionless night...
From a door...
Within the depths of self...
Realization springs forth...
Uncoiling, like a serpent in strike....
Time is the great equalizer of man...
It paints the picture of truth...
For we all march daily towards death and deliverance...
Loss fills the plate...
Where once,
Tomorrow reined.....TAH...

Ants
Angry red lines
Fire ants marching on my skin,
changing me, burning
burn it all away
burn away the lies, the flaws
all that i am
burn the illusion-destory the mask
that hides the splintered soul

Take it away
let the ants feed, change me
why cant they see, understand
they give order where chaos reined
structure to the madness
form to the free
march on, burn, bite, break
DO NOT STOP, do not leave
Remind me....

When Calls the Heart
Tethered in moments of longing and passion the heart lapses into time framed by hours of sedation where there is joy there is you beyond comparison I respond to your caress embraced by your sweet bless When calls the heart Reined in by your dotes and feverish affection flavors of your heavenly concoction there is comfort in your arms I respond to your caress embraced by your sweet bless When calls the heart

He loved,but could not say
such words,he could not find;
He loved,but could not touch
such warmth,was just too much;
He was proud, but could not praise
such sounds he could not raise;
He supported,but not with words
such feelings,witheld unheard;
Sentiment,tight reined within
banished,unvoiced by him,
embittered by his own hurt,
a scarred child 'neath his hairshirt.

In the past, his crippled emotions lay
imprisoned,unsaid,'til his dying day.
