What a day promises
Is light. Time's passing.
What is guaranteed besides
That is up to you.
Does know which optimist.
Whose smile from within
Reflects, hope-filled, whose life-rides
Be they stray off-course
Fate's trust. Holds, for its reined horse
What guides. Straight and true.
