I said those words the other day
The words I said I'd never say
I put them off so long it seems
And now I hear them in my dreams
I never meant to hurt you so
I never thought that you would go
I feel the pain down deep inside
There seems no place where I can hide
That's why I said "Good bye" to you
At last my love I know were through...
verse
Will this rain ever quit?
Rainbow in the sky
Sun makes her move
followed by thunder on I-4
Will this pain ever quit?
Car totalled; I'm broken.
Sun makes her move
then the special diagnosis.
Will the strain ever quit?
Surgery did not go well
Sun makes her move
a nagging dread remains
Will the drain ever quit?
Zapped by much therapy
Sun makes her move
Rainbow in the sky…
I will walk again.

I see your muted struggle.
I wish that you'd find peace.
Release the pain you juggle.
This drama needs to cease.
My tears have solid frozen,
And words no longer flow.
For 'tis silence that I've chosen.
Wounds heal slow.
Most eloquent is that tongue.
Truth it reveals to each.
For words are but fabrications.
They lie through speech.
I'm beyond the desire to speak.
Though this do know,
For you my love is the highest peak.
But please...let go.
